Cool concept, good food but...

....service is not the best! Furthermore some plates were not the best! Anyway if they adjust a bit how to seat customers, they will improve the service already

This is a great place to try some nice tasty Portuguese food. It's better to try it with some friends because that way you will be able to try more plates. I would seriously recommend the liver it's very tasty.

I've been there twice, once with my colleagues, another one with my girlfriend, both for dinner. The place has a nice decoration. The food is good, but it's best suited for more than two people, as you can taste more dishes. For drinking, I recommend the "Caipironho" (Caipirinha with Medronho). I don't recommend the tap water, as they charge you... More

One test of a decent kitchen is whether it can prepare simple, maybe inexpensive, ingredients to taste really good. After all, most chefs can cook a passable fillet steak or do something with lobster. Here, for three people, we had chicken livers, mushrooms and chestnuts in a giant vol-au-vent, interesting Azores salad for petiscos, a cuttlefish rice main dish, one... More

This restaurant lets you order dishes to share with your company. This way you can try more than one starter, main and desert. The staff is very sociable and provides professional but personal service. I highly recommend having a taste!

The food is good, but nothing special. From all the 4 dishes we ordered, only the stingray dish was delicious and above average. We also ordered cataplana and unfortunately it was a bit bland. Quite disappointing to see the nibbles/starters covered in cling wrap when you get to your table (we looked around and it seemed they were doing the... More

A lovely cosy 'bistro' a bit off the tourist trail (you won't just come across it, you need to seek it out). Our waiter was a star, spoke perfect English and was very helpful talking us through the menu. He even offered us 2 half portions of puddings as we wanted different things, but neither of us had the space... More

Nice concept. Friendly staff. You order two smaller (tapas style) side dished and 1 main course to share per two persons. The idea is that all food you and your group ordered is shared. The choice is limited (4 mains and 12 European style tapas), but ok quality. We really enjoyed the mushrooms, other dishes were ok. The atmosphere is... More

Food was mostly disappointing, the service unprofessional. The location is good and the venue is pleasing, with its old, almost crumbling old tavern look, but don't get fooled by that: here there is no real respect for food (nor wine). 10 years ago it would have passed for a decent place, but in today's world, with so much competition, it... Our host made a reservation for us here. We were a large group, but the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is a homey faux-tavern, so a mix of mismatched tables and chairs and cutlery. Nice atmosphere to have a meal with friends, but very touristy. The drinks are relatively expensive (1,60 for a small ice tea, 1 L... More
