After living in lisbon for 4 months, and going to a lot of restaurants, I hold this place is my favorite. The food is really good, typical portuguese dishes, good-sized portions, fair prices, and a very friendly staff. Main courses ranges from €15-20. Try the octopus!

After a day at Fatima we were recommended to the restaurant by our guide who called ahead to make sure they would open for us in that we might arrive prior to their normal hours, they did and are we delighted. Party of 4 treated as royalty, we allowed the waiter to lead us thru dinner from aps to desert... More

After a long and tiring day I've come to this small family restaurant just wishing to have a calm evening and nice meal. My expectations were swept away within the first minutes when an elderly gentleman with the manners of the royal butler and expensive shrink made me feel at home and sincerely welcome. Loved the atmosphere. Food was amazing... More

The wife and I were on vacation and went to a lot of trouble to get to this place. Traffic was a nightmare and its down an alley a bit hard to find. But let me tell you we were blown away! The food was original and so good. The steak was cooked to perfection and the soup in the... More

Cover is €13.50 for bread and cheese and they give this to you even if you don't ask for it. I'm not a huge fan of the strong flavor of sheep cheese. Stick to wine as water is €2.75 each. They also do not open until 7:30pm even though the sign outside says it opens at 7:00pm. Food is well... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local friend, so this is definitely not a tourist trap. The service was every bit as good as the food, as they were incredibly friendly but also professional and proficient. Wine recommendations were perfect, and the food was superb. I had a codfish carpacchio (wonderfully vinegary, but not overpoweringly so) and a... More

Went for Sunday night dinner. Arrived at 7:30 and were the first in the restaurant. Ordered the trio of cod on the water's recommendation and it was great. Loved the one preparation with scrambled eggs, was too full to enjoy the other two methods. Relied upon the restaurant to pick the wine and they chose a fairly inexpensive local red... More

I came here with my 24 yo daughter (wife and 21 year stayed at the hotel). It is a very cute and cozy place. The service was excellent and the good very good but not terribly imaginative. Very good variety of that Portuguese staple, bacalhau. Would recommend without hesitation.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and it's probably the best thing that he's ever said. I jest, but this really is a great find. Tucked away from the heart of Barrio Alto on a side street it was very busy when we arrived (on a Saturday night), including a large party of around 14. I'd therefore recommend booking,... More
