Dinner

Read the reviews - managed to dodge the annoying tourist trap restaurants down the road. Lacked ambiance as there were very few people in the restaurant but the dorada was cooked simply giving a delicious healthy meal for a very cheap price of ~€7.

If you want to taste a local dish, you can definitely go there, where the couple that owns the business actually cooks and runs the restaurant, the food is good, and the prices are still down to earth enough for locals to still go there on a daily basis. The food is local food, at a good price and very... More

The food in this place is amazing and great value for money. It is ran by a couple with the lady cooking and the gent serving and looking after the guests. The evening we visited the restaurant was full so service was more leisurely but please don't let that put you off. Make sure you save room for the homemade... More

You could miss this, as it is just another small shop in a wall of buildings, shuttered when not open. But it is worth searching for. It is run by an older couple, the man who serves and the lady who cooks. The food is wonderfully simple and tasty, lots of fish dishes, garlic, potatoes, salad and of course other... More

This restaurant was a real Portugese experience. Good home cooking the place is run by a mature couple and the gent serving could not have been friendlier. Selected my own fish for grilling and wife jad the bacon wrapped pork loin. All perfectly cooked by the lady in the kitchen. House wine was an excellent accompaniment. The cheese (sheeps) provided... Ate here tonight. Not difficult to find. Lovely elderly couple who run the place. We both had fish dishes that were outstanding. Super fresh, we even got to pick fish out of the cooler in front. English menu available, and gentleman waiter speaks sufficient English. Meals come with side and salad for about 7 euros! Very delicious, including a caramel... More

We've found this place on trip advisor and weren't disappointed. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet street but easy to find. Very nice family feel, lovely local food - we've had local cheese and green wine as a starter, beef meal for two for the mail (thin steak with fried egg, fries and rice. Very big portion!) and... A lot of restaurants in Lisbon serve similar menus. This is a very small restaurant, which is worth checking out. Although they do not have an outside seating area, which is a slight drawback, their food was very nice. I would definitely recommend it and the prices are so reasonable. Also try desserts which seem to be homemade, and not... More
