Dropped into this place the other evening to see if it had improved since my last visit, when I got grossly overcharged (see earlier Tripadvisor report). I refused everything except a glass of wine. They are still at it - quite a lot of consternation from customers when they saw their bills. But what I really can't understand is why... More

First, the food is decent here. If I ate like this in an Amsterdam or a Copenhagen for a comparable price, I would give the place 4 stars. But by local standards, the pricing is extortionate, pumped up by unseen add-ons and unwanted extras. How a dinner of two EUR 15 mains and a bottle of wine got to be... More

First off I'm not sure why everyone else is complaining about the expensive bread/cheese/butter they put at your table when you sit down. Literally every restaurant around Lisbon and Portugal we ate at over a week did this and they all charge about the same ridiculous prices. It's not relatively that shocking actually. Locals just refuse it when it's put... More

Food very expensive and poor. Serve and bring things as we did not order. Several guests did"t understand the bill.

The "speciality of the house" - bacalhau com natas ... The worst sh.t I ever eat! The prices: 5€ for a tiny Porto glass, 15€ for a poor quality wine and on the invoice a lot of differences comparing to menu (bacalhau invoiced 15€ instead of 12€) and a lot of things we didn't order!! All of this on a... More

Highly disappointed by this restaurant. We were given bread & butter before the menus came with out asking for it only to be charged 14 euros for this for the 4 of us!!!! When queried we were spoke down to & told that this was the charge. Food was dry and needless to say we will never return when in... More

The only way to escape daylight robbery in this joint, if you insist on going there, is by walking in after sunset. The down-to-earth, simple atmosphere of this place betrays its Michelin-Star worthy prices. Needless to say the food has a long way to go to reach that category. The chocolate ice cream contained more watery frozen splinters than chocolate... More

Dont touch the food. Butter for 1.5 eur per piece. Cheese 3 eur per piece. Bread 0.75 eur per piece. Ham 8.5 eur. Port wine 5 eur. Tourist trap. Basically a robbery. Music was good though.

Like the well known advert..... should have gone to... tripadviser before sitting at the table. However, I didn't and in accordance with the majority of previous reviews I felt ripped off. The cost of the port aperitif 5 euros not ordered and arrived at our table in a jiffy. Followed by the meat, cheese etc. Well rehearsed arrival plan I... More

In contrast to many previous reviewers we actually enjoyed this place quite a lot. We went there for lunch (no fado at that time). It is a family run, simple restaurant. We ordered fish, which was very good! Simple cooking, but well done with good ingredients. Many previous reviewers complained about the cheese and bread served without asking for it,... More
