Good, but limited choice

The restaurant was extremely pleasing however we were slightly disappointed with the range of meals available. However this was a very high end restaurant with very good standing all in all. Service was above average and the ambiance was perfectly in accordance with the country's culture

As you enter Leao d'Ouro you are immediately struck by the beautiful tile work around the restaurant. Very happy with the attention we received from the staff. Again it is one of these restaurants which does not need to have someone outside trying to drag customers in, seems to have a strong local clientele which is a good sign. Our... More

My Mom and I were traveling on a budget and were looking for ways to try good Portuguese food. We also prefer to have one large meal a day and than just snack on the way, to save time for sightseeing. Leao d'Ouro was a perfect place for one large, tasty meal. We ate two days in a row at... More

After reading the reviews and fed up of walking the streets of Lisbon looking for a decent restaurant, we decided to give this place a go. I had the Portuguese sausages to start which were over cooked and cold, the house wine also left much to be desired. I choose the octopus for my main dish, it was again cold,... More

Typical Portuguese food in the center of Lisbon. Great flavors, presentation and quality. Very good experience, also for locals.

We ate dinner here twice because it was so outstanding. The first evening we had their premium seafood platter--58 euros and worth every euro. A huge assortment of crab, lobster, prawns, oysters, etc. Some hot and some cold. And a casserole type of mixed seafood in a delightful sauce served in a crab shell. The restaurant displays all of the... More

Came back after 7 years. The food, atmosphere, service and food! was as good as I remembered. One not to miss if you geta chance. Some of the best seafood I have had and a bargin by English prices. Staff were great with kids, though kids menu, so not the place if they are not keen on fish. Hopefully my... More

Of course you come for the food, which is very fresh, good quality and well presented, but the interior of the place is also worth the visit. High vaulted ceilings and azulejos on the walls. We had a nice lunch here (oysters, ameijoas, polvo and dourado). Friendly and efficient service. Very interesting prices for lunch menu.

This was our first restaurant in Lisbon. The owner Pedro Cintra was onsite and treated us extremely well. He gave us suggestions and readjusted our orders when he saw that we were ordering way too much food. :) We really appreciated him allowing us to taste the wines before we made our decision. Top class.

We spent 3 days and nights in Lisbon, and ate her every night, super food, well presented, friendly staff, very helpful and excellent service all the time, nothing too much bother.
