A welcome break form stuffy traditional restaurants

Built in a 19th century water reservoir for the lower city at the bottom of the aqueduct. The setting is cool and unusual. A perfect escape from the summer heat. Personnel very good, and someone professional. The building is an historic monument dating back from the aqueduct of Lisboa. A tour on the old aqueduct should be organized.... The restaurant/wine bar has no management, everything is left on the good will of the personnel sometime overstressed, and certainly not well paid. Prices are on the high level. The historic building... More

They have all the wine you need. Friendly staff and smal but cosy patio outside as well. OK but limited choices of food,

On Summer days, choose the veranda but don't forget to make a reservation. Have a try of tapas & petiscos or amuses-geules! Dozens of varieties of Portuguese wines. Make sure you know the basic differences between vineyard regions and types of wines. Discover the space incide. Relax at sunset and enjoy!

This place is in an old water distribution center and oozes charm and rusticity. GREAT wine list (one of the proprietors is a well regarded wine critic..) and tasty small plate food. A bit hard to find but just off the Praca Alegria...

We had been recommended this place and as keen wine fans my boyfriend and I decided to give it a go. The building itself if very interesting and unusual, and the wine list is relatively extensive, with the owner providing some good advice regarding the menu. However, when we gave him our order for food, he appeared to not really... More

Worst thing ever! The food is just awfull, and a very bad representation of Portuguese cuisine. The place is suposed to be all about wines but it was just a terrible experience. I've asked for 2 wines that they did not have, after that the owner came to out table and told us that they didn't have much wines at... More

Very, very difficult to find even with a map, but well worth it because we had a lovely meal last week. The waiting staff were very friendly and the food excellent.

We stopped in for drinks figuring we'd spend a short time over a glass of wine before a nearby jazz lounge opened but ended up skipping the music to revel in some fantastic wine. Wines are available by the glass and the bottle and we also ordered a vintage Port and Madiera. If you are wavering between one beverage or... More
