Night time tasting menu

We had a late flight into Lisbon and an early flight out. Chafariz was a lovely place to hang out with late midnight dinner. Kitchen closes at 0100 and this made our pick... Very interesting pairings of wine and food with my favourite being the sparkling wine and bacon wrapped dates...

The setting is really special, as others have written, we thoroughly enjoyed both the experience and the food here. We tried the degustation menu which consisted of a glass of wine with each of the four courses: sparkling white with the starter, white with the fish course, red with the meat and port with the dessert.

Charming tapas bar with good wine selection and tasty tapas. A little bit on the expensive side but service and setting were really good.

Tucked into one of the stone water towers that were part of Lisbon's old aqueduct system, this enoteca delivers. The food was delicious, and the wine list was not huge but had a lot of interesting selections. João Paulo Martin, one of Portugal's best wine journalists consults on the list. Service was competent and gracious. Highly recommended.

This wine bar has a fabulous, historic setting - an old room in an aquaduct. it has amazing food ( loved the dates wrapped i bacon with olive oil) and great wine. there were tastings : 4 glasses for either 10 or 15 euro depending upon the wines. we has a knowledgeable server who brought many other wines to taste.... This was some of the best food we ate in Lisbon. Hard to find unless you know it's thhere but well worth the trip. Very friendly owner who talked us through the wine list. Excellent waiter. We had dates wrapped in bacon, braesola, fish, cheeses, and deserts. Sitting outside on a balmy October evening with a great atmosphere. Authentic Portugese... More

We recently had an excellent experience at this restaurant and based on our description friends living in Lisbon plan to visit soon. The atmosphere is unique, a conversion from an old aqueduct resulting in tables placed at staggered levels. We chose tapas and the best chardonnay I’ve ever tasted. First class service, we will definitely be back.

The place is really nice. Is like engering into a dungeon. The selection of wines is however a little bit disappointing... They don't have all the regions represented and honestly I was expecting much more. The food was good but the portions were small. Price was OK but if we consider the size of the dishes I'd say it's a... More

Had a nice light meal and wine tasting at this very interesting former water tower(?). Recommended for a nice diversion from the street side noisy establishments to have a quiet and even romantic couple of hours.

If you are looking for a place to have a good glass of wine (very good wine selection, I must say), have some nice finger food, relax, skip Bairro Alto and some other busy areas, this would be a good choice. It's open 'till late and centrally located, so very convenient.
