Big pot of sinful seafood ! =D

You have to be there early (maybe right when it opens) ! We were one of the first so the waiting time wasn't too bad. Although it was a small place, dont worry about it ! Remember to order the BIGPOT of SEAFOOD and the prawns and you'll never forget this place! Its a plate full of AWESOMEness and... read more

Went here for lunch on our first day in Lisbon and actually it was one of the best meals we had our whole time there. The arroz de marisco was divine - a lovely rich seafood/shellfish broth, with creamy rice (lovely crispy bits at the bottom of the pan like a good paella) and a generous portion of large shrimps... The food is tooooooo expensive (6shrimps 10euros) and it was sa small and bad. The staff was so rude. He let us eat in hurry to get another guest and took our dishes when we were eating. Never go to UMA if you want to eat in peace. Dont waste your money and time.

..... then the place is really good. We shared the famous arroz com marisco and it was exzellent. Not sure if it lives up to the hype, but definetely very very good. But besides that the place is a little whole in the wall with a grandfather type waiter, who cannot hear very well and tends to forget things, so... More

We had a long wait to get a seat at lunchtime, but an even longer wait (40 mins) to be served our food. The problem was we did not go for the signature dish of rice and fish which every other table had and was really pushed. Virtually everything else we suggested was off so we opted for grilled cod... 목숨걸고비추해요!!! Plz plz don't go! Horrible service and not good food.진짜트립어드바이저에 평점남긴적 없는데 할아버지가 너어어ㅓㅓㅓ무 불친절하고 맛도별로고! The old man is sooooooo rude. Waited for two hours and wasn't worth it at all. I didn't tried other things from the menu(not very extended) except for the rice with seafruits and is the best. The staff is funny( old man that forget or don't understand everything that you say and an old lady and of course the owner which is the cook and it moves like the thunder inside and outside the kitchen) and... I have been last May 2015 with my wife. It looks like Korean Seafood soup so that we just tried to be with home sick food. The time was better than I thought. We finished every single peace. Now I am back to Lisboa again and looking forward to eating again!!

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighborhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
