Apparently this place has been serving food for generations. The service is correct, but rather slow. Which I usually find a blessing rather than a curse. Unless you want to get away soon. The quality of the dishes I tried was nothing beyond average (Lisbon style) cooking. Boring, stomach filling and plenty. Not a grain of inventivity. I'm the last... More

With the mixed reviews we almost didn't go but at the advice of our hotel we tried it out and we were not disappointed. I had the Portuguese cod and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful at explaining the menu and suggesting wine. As we came mid week we were able to relax and take our time.... More

Despite the less than stellar reviews, we decided to try this place out as my parents were hankering for fresh fish. Unfortunately when we arrive there was a surprising lack of variety of fish. Two people ended up ordering "carne de porco à alentejano" and other two bass fillets with rice, both higher in price than the average for the... More

I enjoyed the decoration and the ambiance. Service was efficient and prompt. Food was a huge expensive disappointment. The codfish with corn bread (bacalhau com broa) tasted too buttery, not what you'd expect from a portuguese olive oil-rich cuisine. Besides, the salted cod was not top quality. As far as the grilled fresh robalo (european sea bass), it was grilled... More

We ate here with friends more than once during our 2013 visit to Lisbon for the Rotary International Convention. Unpretentious, delicious fresh seafood. Gabriel was a wonderful host. Ask him to see the photographs he's taken.

We visited the restaurant on Wednesday evening as a recommendation from our hotel. We we're quite hungry after a long flight from the UK. The first thing they put on the table was bread, olive oil and octopus in a marinade with lepers and onions. It blew me away, it was the most tender octopus I have ever tried in... More

Had octopus salad and the fried cod with potatoes and tomato sauce. Octopus was excellent, cod was fine if a little overcooked for my tastes. Homemade bread was also very nice. Waiters were nice but a bit slow with the orders. Thought it was expensive for what you got, especially the cod which seemed overpriced. But overall had a very... More

It was the most expensive and absolutely awful dinner we had in Portugal at all. The octopus in the pot was a rubber, sinking in the oil; the crab thermidor dish was with fragments of shell so you could cut yourself. I canceled a salad i ordered before just a min later, choosing a different dish, but they brought me... More

I think one of the best Fish restaurant In lisbon, where I enjoyed eating fresh fish from the sea, which was grilled perfectly and natural taste.I highly recommend travelers to have a lunch or dining experience in this restaurant.
