Good experience , very relaxing!

One of the least pretentious of Lisbon's fado restaurants is also one of its finest. We wanted to see some Fado in an intimate bar or small club setting, with the locals in a small back street place in Lisbon. Clube de Fado is situated in a street in Alfama, the old district of Lisbon, renowned... read more

Before going, you should know what you're getting: this is a series of excellent musical performances, and some pretty good food will be served to you while you're there. Do not go expecting a gourmet meal, and do not go expecting a dinner with some casual background music. When the performers come in, everyone stops what they're doing (including waiters)... More

I want to give this a 3, but I have to give it a 4 because the music was so good, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere is intimate. However, the food was the most expensive we had in Portugal and wasn't even close to being the best. There are plenty of places with better food for a third... More

My husband and I are both musicians are we would always be interested to catch traditional music performances at our destinations. Clube de Fado did not disappoint. We placed our orders and the performances commenced quite soon after. All meal services would stop so that all attention could be on the performers. That said, our food was served quite slowly,... During a recent four-night stay in Lisbon, my husband and I were determined to hear some fado music, the national music of Portugal. We had heard about this place but felt it might be too commercial. So we found our way to another fado club, and were jammed into a big room that felt more like a catering hall than... More

We wanted to see some Fado in an intimate bar or small club setting, with the locals in a small back street place in Lisbon. However, after struggling to get in anywhere on the first night of our three day stay, wer decided to play it safe and get the hotel to book us into a Fado club. Clube de... More

Clube de Fado in Lisbon is one of the very best restaurants in which you can hear the wonderful haunting Fado music very specific to Portugal. The staff were extremely welcoming helpful and friendly, and the food was very good typically Portuguese food, well cooked and presented. And the music was fabulous. The three hours cost two people 135 euros... More

We went there because it was recommended to us, fado performance itself was great, but food was so overpriced & they had to change my meal 4 times till they got it wrong, first to rate, then over cooked steak, changed to fish after all. They charge u €15 for Fado per person plus another €10 per person for seating.... More

We really enjoyed Clube as our taste of Fado during our Lisbon visit, but I don't recommend anything but the music and a couple drinks. We added dessert and spent €80.
