Great night

The menu if very pricey and we spent over €150 on 3 courses and a bottle of wine. Entrees and the fado performance accounted for the remainder. The food was very tasty and when you consider the great unique experience of the fado performance we thought it was worth the money. A nice treat.

We were advised by locals to go for the music not for the food so we did just that. (the food is pricey) if you wish to only go for the music, you should not go until 10:30 if you go earlier, you will be expected to order a meal which can be pretty expensive. As it is, you will... More

This restaurant / fado entertaining was not my own choice, but decided upon by third party. I had a very pleasant evening. Traditional atmosphere, nice fado music and songs. Food was good and service fast. I think you will not go here for the best portuguese cuisine, but for the 'all over' atmosphere. As this was my first experience with... More

First things first - the Fado was excellent. A beautiful performance. But let down disappointingly by the utterly awful food. Three of us ate there and our food went back to the kitchen only partially eaten. Even where the food was hot (we had to send chips back because they were cold - how can you get chips wrong?) it... We didn't eat in this restaurant which did not appeal to us as it looked expensive and touristy. However we paid 10 euros to go in after 10 pm have a drink and listen to some fado (with which we were already familiar) .The ambience was pretty average and we were not impressed. However when the music started it was... More

The people who liked this club are the ones that didn't go to any other fado clubs. This was the wrose fado club that we had in Lisbon. It is true it is famous but trust me you should checkout articles about where to go if you want an authentic experience. We had to wait a lot even if we... More

I had a fantastic evening at Clube de Fado. The food was so-so but the fado itself was fantastic. Two brilliant musicians and three amazing woman vocalists. The set-up is singing and eating in between - so if you are looking for non-stop music, this is probably not the place. For me it was a perfect balance. Go and visit... More

Being in Lisbon we tried to find a specific Lisbon restaurant where to eat something traditional and to listen fado music. For this place was easy to make a reservation and the price of a taxi was about 6-8 euros. The atmosphere was as we thought, meaning well and the fado music perfect. The problem is that all the entrances... More

I felt the urge to leave my point of view after reading several negative reviews about this place. We went here for New Year's Eve, and I was absolutely amazed by what Club de Fado offered us. Yes, I have to agree that the interior design is not very romantic. But once the red lights go on, and the fado... More

My husband and I went to several fado shows while we were on Portugal, this is the worst one by far. We arrived at 8:00pm and was stuck at a corner in the restaurant where there is no way to see the stage. Half of my table was wet from the leak in the ceiling upstairs. I did not realize... More
