My wife and I searched around for a Fado restaurant during our stay in Lisbon and decided on Clube Fado, despite the wildly varying reviews. As many have said, the food is certainly on the expensive side, but I just considered it a cover charge for the music. The food was really good, with one issue. They brought my food... More

We went to this place because of Fado. The music was good and we enjoy it, but the prices for drinks and dinner were very painfull. After leaving the location we recognized, during study the bill, that we payed for mussles which we did not ordered. We had also pay for the Fado itself (7.50 ? p./P.) We did not... More

It was Saturday night, and we did not have a reservation. The goal was to listen to authentic good fado in not so touristy neighborhood, and decent food would have been a bonus. We came in around 9pm, and they had 1 table available because someone did not show up for their reservation, so we got seated right away. Food... More

If you´re a great fan or wish to have a true initiation to the magic of Portuguese Fado, this is the place en Lisbon. Aspiring Fado singers as well as seasoned performers can be enjoyed in this truly folk place. The food is reasonably good as it sticks to a very standard menu. Try to listen to as many rounds... The guide book described this as touristy and it was a little although nothing like as tacky as some touristy restaurants I've been to. The food was very good and the portions generous - don't bother with a starter as they bring ham and cheese and delicious bread to nibble at. The Fado music was in 4 short sessions, each... More

A visit to a Fado house is a ‘must’ for any trip to Lisbon. We were recommended this place by one of our Portuguese hotel staff. It gets incredibly busy so a reservation is essential. We booked for 8.00 pm, with the Fado singing due to begin by 9.30 pm. It has a great authentic feel, not like one of... More

There's no need to have dinner there if you just want to listen to some great fado. At around 11 pm they usually let few people in just for a drink and to enjoy the show. if that's what you're planning to do, make sure to be there slightly earlier to get in the line. The waiting is in a... More

This is a Fado's house, so we had to stop for a few times to listen to the music. And that was great! The menu is not high-fashion. Instead, they have traditional portuguese food, made with great ingredients and cooked perfectly. I totally recomend this place.

My Husband and I came across this gem while walking around Lisbon. He had been there once before as a kid and was incredibly excited when we found it! We had a fantastic view from our table, right beside the Fado singers, and truly enjoyed the singing and the amazing food!! I would love to go back! The service was... More

If you are a fan of Fado, you will undoubtedly enjoy your visit. The "club" isnt a club it's an expensive restaurant with itinerant fado singers popping in doing a couple of songs and then leaving to go to do the same in other fado centres. There are quite a few in this particular area. The owner Mario Pacheco is... More
