Grilled fish, portugese food

Excellent grilled fish. Nice atmosphere. Also many local people eating there. Mostly meals for two people. So if you are travelling alone, maybe not the best place to go.

I really liked this small restaurant well located in Bairro Alto. The food is homemade style and is pretty good, the prices are honest and the portions are big (is one portion for two).

We went here because of a friend's recommendation. First we nearly passed the place, because it's just a tiny room at a corner in the middle of chiado.. but looking for it is truly worth it! The smaller the place, the bigger the portions. Everything comes in portions of two, so you better agree with your companion ;) We ordered... More

We echo the other rave reviews in saying that this unassuming eatery provided us with the best dinner of our 6-day visit, and we consider ourselves well-traveled diners with high standards. The grouper platter we ordered for 2 people arrived with 2 whole fishes, new potatoes and lettuce, tomatoes & onions. The fishes were flavorful and well prepared. There's a... More

So my friend was recommended to this restaurant after her surfing adventure I'm Lisbon. It's a small place which fits 24 people max. The chef is unbelievable It's true Portuguese food without all the bells and whistles. Just true home cooking with a touch of the chefs flare. The house wine is fresh from a barrel from Porto and the... More

On our first night in Lisbon we found this restaurant as we walk around Rua Do Norte to find a place to have dinner. The smell of grilled fish in the alley smelled so good we followed where it was coming from. The restaurant is small with only a few seats inside. It was full when we get there and... More

we were recommended to visit the Cantinho do Bem Estar by a bar woman in the pub up the street, we visit at night and was unable to get a seat as the place can only seat about 22. We returned the next day and was served by the same guy! Good food nearly as good as mother would make,... More

+ Very small restaurant (9 tables), Family-run company. Very authentic with its typical portuguese deco. The food was delicious, so the delicious we are planning to go back to tomorrow. It's has been the best restaurant we have tried in Lisbon so far (7th restaurant tried). The young man that serves on the tables is very kind and he speakes... More

We've been in Lisbon for a week and this was the least enjoyable meal we had. The fish looked ok but was basked in grease so we went for the "stewed meat", big mistake!... If you like over grilled oily meat thrown on a platter then this is the place to go. Oh yeah the 'doorman' at the entrance should... More
