Typical Lisbon "Tasca "

It is a very simple and small restaurant. The kitchen is open so probably you will bring with you at home the flavor of the place, but it is a very special peace of Lisbon, with a fantastic dishes with all the Lusitania inside! Meet, fish, whatever they have, just try it and enjoy. I always go... read more

+ Very small restaurant (9 tables), Family-run company. Very authentic with its typical portuguese deco. The food was delicious, so the delicious we are planning to go back to tomorrow. It's has been the best restaurant we have tried in Lisbon so far (7th restaurant tried). The young man that serves on the tables is very kind and he speakes... More

We've been in Lisbon for a week and this was the least enjoyable meal we had. The fish looked ok but was basked in grease so we went for the "stewed meat", big mistake!... If you like over grilled oily meat thrown on a platter then this is the place to go. Oh yeah the 'doorman' at the entrance should... More

After my daughter and partner turned up in Lisbon to surprise me we couldnt get a table for four at restaurant we had chosen. My daughters partner recognised this as a place he had been recommended and after having a funny chat with guy on door and going for a drink we got a table. What fun we had. Great... More

We first visited this restaurant in June last year and were very impressed with the quality and value. We returned last weekend as a party of four on a Saturday night. We arrived at 7pm and were the first through the door as it opened. However, it was full by 8pm and people were queuing outside. We all wanted fish... More

I came here on a late Friday night with three friends and when we first turned up, the place was so packed to the rafters they couldn't fit us in. However, the lovely Portuguese waiter (pretty much the only waiter) told us to have a drink at a local pub and he would come and find us when a table... More

Ultra fresh and tasty sea bass, good wine at reasonable prices. Forget the chi-chi places with 20 micro servings at 150+ € per person and wait on line for this tiny, homey gem.

Been to Lisbon for a long weekend recently and had dinner at the Bem Estar. I know this place from previous visits to Lisbon during a number of years and have never been disappointed with their food. Quality is always great, and the seasoning of the grilled fish is perfect. One of my absolute favorites are Gambas in 'yellow sauce',... More

Probably we would have never noticed it, a small traditional restaurant among many modern and bohemian places in rua do norte, but a friend had recommended us this place (specially the chocolate cake). Utterly full, we had to wait more than half an hour but it was worth waiting for. Once in, we got plenty of excellent home-made food but... More
