Expensive but poor quality food

This tapas restaurant looks quaint with seats on the stairs across the street. Our waiter was friendly and service was quick. However the food and wine was expensive for Lisbon snd nothing we ordered was better than mediocre.

This place is the definition if a tourist trap! The food is Awful!! Really well and truly awful, it's unbelievably expensive for the size of food you receive, the portions are tiny and not well cooked at all, it really is just so bad here I couldn't believe the price of the food when I saw the portions. They plant... More

Not often I would say, give this a miss. As it was a quick decision to try this place, we did not do our usual homework. It was at the bottom of the street where we were living, and looked cute and very busy. However, the food was awful. The only dish which was edible was Broadbean Salad. Pork ribs... More

We did not order the appetizer and needed to pay for it (7 Eur/table). The dishes are a bad joke in terms of size - even if we are speaking about tapas - and taste. Atmosphere is unbreathable, you cannot speak, smile or eat without the others hearing you by beeing at maximum 50 cm distance. Conclusion: if you want... More

Too bad I didn't see these reviews before visiting. Nothing is complimentary so don't be fooled, like bread and sauce the moment you sit down they slam down on your table before they even say hi. Food was whatever, small portions as tapas are, but not worth the price. Good for atmosphere outside only.

We went there because it was crowded. The food was good but really expensive for the ridiculously small portion size. I would suggest to avoid it if you are looking for authentic experience.

My wife and I had dinner here after finding that the restaurant we originally had hoped to dine at was closed. We were attracted to Tapas 28 because it looked crowded from down the street. In reality their 10-15 outside seats were full but a lot of the other people outside were just hanging out nearby and not diners. Although... More

Stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a place to eat in Lisbon's Bairro Alto. Nice ambiance, both inside, and especially outside in the alleyway. The food was delicious and the portions a good size for sharing between the two of us. Our waitress was very friendly and spoke great English.

After walking around the area looking for somewhere to eat we stopped here as we liked the seating set up, set outside on the stairs outside the restaurant, and it looked popular. We found the service to be good, atmosphere was great, the food was Ok (not bad but nothing to rave about) but I must agree with other reviewers... More

We stumbled across this place after walking round for ages looking for a tapas bar. Although pricey we found the service friendly and the food tasty. We had Spanish omlette with chorizo, garlic prawns, veal stew and mixed croquettes ( they call them wraps). The house wine was good and my girlfriend had chocolate moose to finish which she loved....
