Could be nice

Normally I never leave a review if I'm not satisfied with the service provided, but this place just needs to be mentioned. At the first sight it's such an inviting restaurant in a nice area and a huge selection of tapas. But if you decide to stay for a dinner, you might really leave unsatisfied or... read more

I rarely feel irritated enough by a place to remember to leave a bad review but this place was ridiculous on so many levels. The seating on the streets was absolutely packed and it looked like a good atmosphere so we thought we'd give it a go. The front of house woman made ZERO effort to welcome us or suggest... More

We visited twice its very good. We found the staff polite, patient and helpful. It can work out expensive when you're ordering a few different dishes but always good value and freshly cooked. We met lots of friendly people here from other countries and the street entertainment made it a fun and vibrant place to eat/drink.

Strolling the streets of Bairro alta looking for a nice place for dinner we liked the look of this place with lots of tables on the steps etc. However we went inside as they were all full and inside is very quaint. The tapas were good except for the prawns which were overcooked and chewy. But with most dishes around 14/15... More

Food was both terrible and hugely overpriced and the service was some of the worst I've ever experienced. It seems that most of the other reviewers agree... We were brought bread and olives which we were charged for although at no point were we told they weren't complimentary - the response when we queried this "if you eat something in... More

Unbelievably ridiculous! We ordered 2 glasses of wine, which was marginally drinkable. The same wine costs about !.99 a bottle in the store, they charged 4 euro a glass! Then we had a small late of padrons (spanish name), small peppers grilled in olive oil and seasoned with sea salt. We had to wipe each one to eat them, because... More

Waiter frowned upon us openly at first for just ordering 2 glasses of wine, when asking the bill he said the price was higher then was advertised inside (which is already high for Portuguese standards) and upon paying the 9e bill with a 10e note the waiter just said, is it ok as if he could keep the change, Obviously... Nice atmosphere with music but too much expensive for tapas not even special. We didn't have ordered appetizer but we had to pay for it, even for a microscopic bruschetta and 5 olives... Some olives seemed to be already "used" by someone else. The indian waiter even left some nose liquid fall near to our table without saying "sorry". Place... More

As many others have said in their reviews: - EUR 10.50 for starters that inititally seem to be given for free. Although we've realised that this is a common practice in Lisbon - "offering" starters or nibbles without making it clear that one has to pay for them - this price is ridiculous for what you get - Hugely overpriced,... This place is the definition if a tourist trap! The food is Awful!! Really well and truly awful, it's unbelievably expensive for the size of food you receive, the portions are tiny and not well cooked at all, it really is just so bad here I couldn't believe the price of the food when I saw the portions. They plant... More
