Good service, very well prepared food and reasonable prices are the reason I've been three times in the last year. This place doesn't pitch at the TA scribblers, just concentrates on the food, service and experience. The pork in lemon with mash is excellent. Consistent, good quality food. The wines are well chosen and well priced. Go again? Definitely

After aching feet from walking, and not wanting to go to one of those restaurants that has someone out in front haggling me for a meal, we came across this cozy place. Yes, I like the rustic homey feel, small restaurant, and there were actually a few couples in there. The menu seemed to have traditional portuguese dishes (which was... More

Nice place, nice people. The octopus was really fantastic, the beef with carrots and the chicken spiced were really good and abundant. We wanted only a small amount of wine and decided to go with the red house wine, surprisingly it was good, not heavy and with a pleasant taste. The restaurant was clean. Finally the quality/price ratio good.

We picked this little place in Barrio Alto as it looked far less neon-lit, sleazy and cheesy than many of the other places in this somewhat overrated area, instead it has a more authentic wine bottle & wooden table feel to it. The only waiter was friendly and welcoming, and the service was good. The food was quite basic in... More

If you are in the BArrio Alto then this restaurant is well worth a visit! The chicken was delicious! There is only a small menu but we didn't struggle to choose something. Lots of fish and seafood. Service was very friendly and good value for money.

We picked this place walking past because it looked like a nice restaurant. The staff was friendly. We got the usual bread, cheese and olives. Unusually the plate was wrapped with cling film which wasn't removed by the waitress and had a fly trapped. Maybe we should have left then...We shared stuffed tomatoes with mushroom and cheese which was nice.... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant when looking to eat dinner. We were staying in Bairro Alto and this was a short walk from our apartment. The prices were so reasonable and the meal tasted fantastic! Real value for money! We had 2 bottles of house white wine which was great and our bill was still inexpensive :)

We have been at this place June 09th, 2013 with a group of four. The Restaurant is very small but also very cozy. The service was excellent and so was the food. We ordered pork filet with a lemon sauce and chicken asado. Everything was cooked perfect and tasted well. The wine-list could be a little bit more extensive. In... More

We were looking for the place next door which was recommended to us by local friends - Bota Alta, when we found it closed and decided to try this one, which looked very nice from the outside. In fact, the ambience is pretty good, and the service is fine. The only thing we found very poor... was the food. My... More
