Heart of Gold

In the backstreets of Cascais, this is a small but cosy place to eat. Warm welcome by the family who owned it, who all spoke perfect English, the menu was a mix of steaks and fish. We both had fish dishes and each were quite unusual. The blend of each dish was very unusual but both worked extremely... read more

Having read the reviews we sought out this place hoping for something special only to be disappointed. The cooking was OK but the service was amateurish - starters (small portions given the prices) arrived before we had finished the couvert and were followed without a pause by our main courses. We then waited 20mins for our desserts which only involved... More

Beautiful Restaurant that we found looking for a different place, but I found the menu confusing, we both had the Duck which was amazing, but we soon found out as the place filled up that Steak was the reason people came here, its not cheap but worth a visit and very friendly, would recommend booking

Located in an older section of Cascais, this restaurant offers an informal and cozy setting to enjoy some of the best steaks we have had in Europe. We have been here a number of times over several years and have been pleased with the consistency of the food: steaks (various cuts -- rump, tenderloin, filet, etc., much from Argentina and... More

My husband and I went to Armazen 22 with a friend and we are so impressed. My husband and our friend had meat and they were so happy, meat was tender and very well seasoned. He said it was the best meat he had in Portugal. I tried the "Gambas Moqueca" a very typical Brazilian food and I was in... More

This month in Cascais I have been in Armazem 22 two times, and I am glad for that. All two times I ate steaks and they were gooooood!!!!! tender and well seasoned. French fries and farofa that come with go along very well. All two times I was very well attended. A cozy place to go to have excellent food.

A large group of us went for dinner here to celebrate a birthday, the food was delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - recommending some great wine. It is a little more expensive than other restaurants in the area but definitely worth it.

Hidden in the back street away from tourist area of Cascais. The menu suggested to try the beef dishes here. Like some of the reviews the prices are quite high even for the tourist area and I guess much higher for Portuguese standard. 2 sirloin steaks was merely 50 euro. Couvert charge is hefty 3.5 euro per person. The meat... More
