Our two first visits to this restaurant took place early June. You may read my review here : http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g189154-d1646897-r209284235-Hemingway_Cascais-Cascais_Lisbon_District_Central_Portugal.html#REVIEWS Back in Brussels, we missed Hemingway a lot and often said that if it was closer to our home we would go back there frequently. I took the pretext that I wanted something really special for my birthday party and took... More

We have eaten in Hemmingway twice this Autumn and we found it excellent on both occasions. The service is polite and informed. The food is of a high quality and is much more "gourmet" than is usually found in the area. This restaurant fills a need in Cascais. We shall be back on our return to Cascais

...to spend it's a good place. The service took longer than what is reasonable (1,5h from arrival to entre), especially with kids (luckily our ipads were fully charged). We drank wine in the mean time which the friendly waiter served when prompted. The food was good, although not spectacular, in relation to the price. You will not spend less than... More

We ate here last month and whilst overall we had an entertaining time, it wasn't by any means for all the right reasons. In trying to be brief I shall summarise.... I enjoyed my veal steak main and starter. My wife didn't enjoy over cooked lobster pasta and starter. The wine was very good, well recommended and great Portugese selections,... More

We didn't realize quite how fancy this place was when we booked it but it turned out well, as they were very accommodating of our children (6 and 10) and we had a wonderful meal with top-notch service. We could not find a menu online and were hoping for the best and the staff surprised us by offering some dishes... More

I had a Daiquiri to start with, which was superb. All dishes were prepared to the top, very well balanced and nicely presented. The wine list is excellent. Service is very friendly and attentative. Truly one of the best restaurants in the area and one of the top on our personal List of all restaurants we went around the globe.

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times and I have to say that both times the service has been impeccable as has the food. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want a memorable dining experience. Both times I have had the steak for main, this last time an organic veal steak which was excellent and... More

We booked this as a birthday surprise for one of our group of 8 friends. From the moment we were seated on the terrace we were treated royally. Staff were attentive and knowledgable on everything from olive oil to wine. Food was superb. A complimentary birthday cake with candle was produced. We were dividing the bill by 7 and added... More

We ended up going 2 nights in a row and had 2 exceptional meals. The food was very very good but the service was also brilliant. Assistance with wine choice also helped make for an outstanding experience. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant was a surprise for me. I've heard about it for its Mojitos, but never for its food. The mojitos are in fact exceptional, but the food is also very very good. The service was at the beginning a bit late and confuse, but afterwards turned to be efficient a quite nice. The view is beautiful and the ambiance... More
