great place for sunday lunch

You should view this together with Mar do Inferno If you book early enough to secure one of the prime tables, then the view is great but the food not as good as Mar do Inferno, not that there is anything wrong with it. If you want to a prime table for Sunday lunch - the big family day out... read more

At these prices I expect to have something a bit special. The only thing special is the view. I was throughly disappointed. The service was slow and when the food arrived, it wasn't anything to write home about! This place thrives on the hoards of tourists who constantly stream through the door. We ordered a selfish platter for two and... More

Entrées : stuffed spider crab (very good). Octopus carpaccio (very small and rather bland tasting). We had the seafood casserole which was very nice. The butter/garlic sauce was perfect and the white local wine chosen for us was fantastic. The location is FANTASTIC and the service was great.

Lovely location for dinner. We booked early - lovely ambience and view. Good service mussels were good. Stone Bass and Russian salad great. Definitely go back. Staff were excellent especially with some difficult customers.!!!!!!!

We went here on a Sunday and were first to arrive (12.30) within an hour the whole restaurant was packed. Full of families and friends, who all appeared to be having as wonderful a time as we were. With bread, butter, olives, cheese and prawns we had a delicious start to our meal. But the best was yet to come,... More

This restaurant has a beautiful setting, overlooking the Atlantic & is also very well laid out, so that most get a sea view. Unfortunately, neither the service or food matched the setting. Drinks took a long time to arrive, even though we ordered a bottle of Moet & Chandon, while the food was well below average, especially the chewy octopus... More

We were there with a large group of customers so we had a fixed menu. The view from the restaurant was very nice. Some people saw a pod of dolphins swimming past. The restaurant seemed clean and the service was ok. We had some grilled shrimp as a starter. They had a basket with some toasted bread crisps and some... More

We just got back from a wonderful vacation in Portugal and went to Furnas do Guincho for our first meal to start off the vacation in Cascais. It is a beautifully situated restaurant on the cliff and specializes in seafood. The running joke was that we thought this was a $$ restaurant...try $$$$. The view is amazing and you pay... More

The venue is most impressive and the service was very excellent but I visited last night with two members of my family and we had very mixed views about the food. We were not the only ones, as a couple in a table next to us were obviously not overly impressed with their food as they both left over half... More
