Good but the other pastreis place is better

The top rated pasteis place in trip advisor was better. The pastries were not burnt and it was a lot less busy. Downside is at it is a take out place but it is on a nice square where you can sit outside and enjoy them. I think this place is sort of a tourist trap. It has interesting tile... read more

just the very best pastel de natas you'll have had in your life! go in and find a sit in one of the rooms. Don't expect the best customer service you'll have encounter but good enough to enjoy such a fresh, tasty, crispy and still warm and gnammiest pastel de nata in a traditional surrounding. and incredibly cheap too! Strongly... More

Pastéis de Belém is a great place to relax. The delicious pastries are just amazing and as a result, there could be a long line before you could reach the counter. Its a must try

I still prefer the egg tarts in Macau but these have to be the best we tried in Lisbon. It's open until late- I dropped by after dinner at 10:50pm and there just a few people in line.

Absolutely amazing pastries, if you are sightseeing in the area! Make sure you take a seat to also enjoy the gorgeous cafe' with white and blue painted tiles. The pastries are still warm when taken to the table. Fantastic treat!

Let me start by saying that if you think these are not the best Portuguese custard tarts you've ever had, then you are either too accustomed with overly sweet pastry and desserts or you just don't know how to appreciate good food. Being a grandson of a Portuguese grandmother, I am fairly acquainted with the Portuguese cuisine; however, she has... More

Let me start by saying I have been a fan of the Pastel de Nata for years. I have had many over the years in Macau, and even in London where I live. So, I was super excited to finally try the tarts in Belem, where they originated. The tarts were freshly baked, and they were quite nice........ but it... More

This is a very busy place, particularly around lunch time, I.e. 1 to 2 P.M. In Portugal. Don' t be discouraged by the long line at the main door. These are people waiting to purchase take-out pastries. Use the small door on the left and find an empty table or one where people are ready to leave. Seat down and... More
