We dined here in our only night in Coimbra and were simply stunned by this place. The restaurant is located in Coimbra old town and the food was simply delicious, both my girlfriend and I struggled to finish the generous portions and were really impressed by the kindness and charm of the waiters. The best bit about the night, however,... More

I went here twice while in Coimbra. Second time was mainly because of rain. Both times I enjoyed great food and service. The prices are similar to that of other Combraian restaurants. The location is great- right next door to the Se Velha. I recommend the fish. It is served whole and with lemon. Perfection. Wifi is available.

Great food, ambience, service. Near Sé Velha in Coimbra. With Fado of Coimbra that made the night unforgettable. Normal price. Will not forget anymore.

My parents and I went to this restaurant on their wedding anniversary. I had booked earlier in the day and Oscar remembered that it was their anniversary and wished them all the best upon arrival. Our dinner was delicious - we had the goat specialty and the pork in white wine, with the chocolate mousse for dessert. The food was... More

It was amazing to just look left out of the window and see Se Velha so close to us. Food was really good, although the English menu was a bit funny offering things like "ork" and "roasted kid". But service was great and the atmosphere of the whole place was outstanding. P.S. Definitely try the "Trovadore dessert" !

A cold February night, this was the only place I could locate in walking distance of the Casa Pombal guest house, and it was fine. Not a very large menu, but the grilled dourada we had was fresh and well cooked, with nice vegetables. Good vino verde. A very tender octopus baked in the oven. Pleasant service.

Right by the Se Velha, this restaurant makes for a convenient stop for lunch. The prices were reasonable, the portions surprisingly big and the food delicious. Good house wine too!

The service was fantastic. The room was full and decoration was related with the city. The bass and ribs were very good. It was the best restaurant where we ate in Portugal

I've eaten at this restaurant everytime I'm in Coimbra. The service is very friendly and helpful. The food is traditional Portuguese with a flair and very tasty. Good selection of wines and beer. The location is in the old plaza next to the Sa (catheral) . The only disadvantage to this place is location, If you do not enjoy walking... More

This restaurant was closed when we arrived at the hotel in the same square so did not even know it was there. When we discovered it we were mightily impressed. The food was great, the helpings huge and the prices very reasonable. The staff were very helpful - being faced with an unannounced party of 9 all speaking different languages... More
