It's the best in Coimbra together with Ze Manel.. Wide variety of fresh meat and fish, I love it..! Good service, excellent prices. Try it!!
This interesting restaurant is tucked down a small narrow street and offers typical traditional Portuguese food. The food is plentiful and offers great value for money, our total bill was under €15 for two (including beer). As with most restaurants in Portugal they put bread, olives and spreads on the table which you will be charged for if you eat... More
We wanted to go to Zé Manuel which was closed on a Saturday evening, so we searched tripadvisor for an alternative. Fortunately, this turned out to be no disappointment. We had cooked bacalhau and grilled 'peixe espadon', both perfect. Their vinho da casa is very good for just 3€ a bottle. Service efficient and friendly. We wanted go return the... More
You could do far worse than this down to earth restuarant in Coimbra. Large portions of grilled meat or fish, with a good wine list - offering incredible value for money. The interior is a bit basic and dont expect too fancy service but overall a place to get a good meal.

Rather than read the menu we just went to the grill at the entrance and choose what looked good from the wide selection of fish, meat and local sausages. Choose from the two rooms (one at... More
The restaurant is very easy and the towels are made of paper. This makes the ambiente so authentic and romantic too. The food is really good (you can chose fish or meat) and perfectly grilled. The prices are unbeatable!!
If you like us like to seek out a restaurant that is popular with locals and full of good inexpensive food, then this is the place for you, full to capacity on our last visit, however, we didn't feel we had to wait longer than we expected and the food was great, love vegetables, their cabbage and boiled potatoes with... My wife and I were recently in Coimbra, Portugal, and had the good fortune of eating at Adega Paço do Conde. Alfredo, the owner, greeted us warmly. He was in the midst of grilling chicken, seafood, and goat. We particularly enjoyed his recommendation to try the grilled cuttlefish. It was accompanied by an assortment of tasty vegetables. The meal, enhanced... More
Stumbled upon this great place, and went in as my partner, who studied at Coimbra University, said it was a popular place. It looks like a bit of a dive but the smell of grilled meat draws you in. Had a great simple meal, grilled meat, chips, rice and salad with a beer, which is sometimes all you need and... More
