We went to this restaurant thought We went to “O Burgo” through tripadvisor recommendations and it was very good experience. The restaurant is in the middle of a nature paradise that creates the mood for the meal experience. Inside the restaurant follows a Portuguese rural decoration with good taste. The food exceled all my expectations. I had coat meat (chanfana)... More

We had dinner in O Burgo, but this is also a fine place to have lucy since it is just by the natural pools where you can swim. The space is very nice with welcoming decor and nice staff. The food was very tasty traditional local food, like it was home made. The deserts were mouth-watering.

The location, at the foot of an ancient castle, and on a river, is amazing. The food is all local, mountain dishes that are made in a long standing tradition. So, the pig's ear and liver may not be for everyone, but there is so much to try on the menu that this out of the way gem is well... More

Best restaurant I visited on my recent trip to Portugal. The food was beautiful, setting gorgeous and the service is very good including menu interpretations in English.

What a wonderful place and kitchen! Yes, the meal was delicious! It was a cold rainy day! We arrived to a small and cosy restaurant. Nice and cheerful staff to assist our hunger:)) I had a delicious and surprisingly good looking "cozido à Talasnal". The red wine of the house was perfect with the meal! For dessert a delightful caloric... More

Typical "rustic" cuisine, served in stunning surroundings. Mine Host Antonia always cheerfully on hand to assist. We have eaten their on average 8 or 9 times a year since moving to Lousa 5 years ago. Extremely good food and good wines, perfect ambience and very good value for money. It's the one place we take all our visitors to for... More

We arrived hungry, with nothing to eatt, on a sunday afternoon. They were open, but refused to give us even some bread or anything because they were full. Neither human kindness nor money could afford them. It would have been acceptedable if there was any other place that could feed us in a 2 km range. I have been here... More

I had dinner at "O Burgo" and I totally agree with other TripAdvisor users comments. The food was great (I've had deer with potatoes and vegetables and a good selection of local starters, m girlfriend ate baccalà), the wine of the house was enjoyable and the location very nice. We ate a lot and we spent only 30 euros, 15... More

Turned us away after an hour drive at 2:45 saying that they were closed even though their hours specified they were open till 3. Insisted we needed a reservation even though many tables were open. We basically begged and were still turned away. We ended up going to the minipreco about 2km away and returning to the area for a... More
