We had been reading all the good reviews and decided to go to this restaurant on our first night in Terceira. The place is a bit hidden but we found it almost right away. We were the only 2 people eating there the whole time... We ordered schrimp with garlic for starterts and weren't too impressed by it but the... More

As we drove up to the restaurant my husband and I were a bit skeptical of the place but we were blown away with our meals. The atmosphere and service was stellar as well as the food and the staff was very accommodating to our needs if and when they did arise. I informed all my friends of the gem... More

We had a great meal here in an ancient atmosphere - an old cellar environment. Creative, homecooked Portuguese dining - worth the effort to find this out-of-the-way spot.

Great food for moderate prices in a nice atmosphere. A bit hard to find but certainly worth a visit.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the restaurant. it looks like a restored home typical to many people who grew up on the islands. The mother in law soup was AMAZING, I could have ate it all if i didn't already order more food. On Tuesday there are folk singers that also come in which... More

As a regular visitor to the Azores, I discovered this place last year after locals recommending it. First visit in 2012 was with my girlfriend where there was a lovely ambience, set in a converted mill on the road going out of Sao Sebastiao towards Porto Martins. Be sure you know where this subtly signed place is before you go...... More

We had a great meal at this out of the way little place. You are sure to get the freshest fish as they don't carry anything other than what they get in that day. The mother in-law soup is amazing! One order will easily be a good starter for 3 people!

The food- Fantastic, service- very friendly, the atmosphere- traditional and cozy! This restaurant meets high expectations all the way around. Went here with a group of 4 other people and we all loved what we ordered. I have been craving the mother-in-law soup ever since we left, it was so unbelievably flavorful. The best part of my meal was the... More

Went here with friends unsuspecting that I would have one of the most memorable meals of the year. Saw barnacles on the menu and tried as a lark - what a surprise, it was one of the best things I've ever tasted. Words fail me even to describe them properly. Had grilled cherne that was again wonderful and a home-cooked... More

As others have said in their reviews, this restaurant is pretty tricky to find for the first time. BUT, once you have found it, Os Minhos will not disappoint. The stone building is just simply charming and the inside is pleasing as well. Someone recommended to us the mother-in-law for an appetizer, and my husband loved it! It is like... More
