We went to Casa Marisca before our flight home for lunch. Wow! We both ordered the grilled swordfish. The meals were beautifully presented with a large swordfish fillet, boiled potatoes, salad, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. It had just the right seasonings of garlic and olive oil. This restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge at The Lince Hotel. It... More

Seemed like a smaller mom and pop restaurant that the locals hang out at. The fish was excellent here, but same as everywhere else we went to it lacked any seasoning or salt/pepper. The swordfish and shark steak was the best fish we had on the island.

A recommendation from our hotel, (the Linces) this was a great restaurant for a casual but delicious dinner. We selected the Rockfish and the Comber and had them grilled whole. The fish was grilled to perfection and served with simply cooked vegetables. The couple at the next table ordered Limpets for an appetizer and Squid for a main course. They... More

We found this place from a sign on the side of a building. Decided to take a chance on a Friday night. We were a little taken aback when they asked if we had a reservation as the place was empty. The sat us down and within 20 minutes the place was packed. A small and crammed atmosphere but well... More

We went for dinner after seeing a sign on our walk down to the city centre. Felt like seafood and sounded like this was the place. The tables were set with bread and butter and while we were looking at menus, a plate with a triangle of cheese came out. We assumed this was customary so just ate it, but... More

The signature dish is telha mista ( squids with shrimp and 3 kinds of fish - tuna, shark and small fish) the squids were perfectly cooked, and the texture of the shark steak is like pork chop. We ordered the lapas grelhadas as well, more than 20 pieces. Good for sharing. The menu have pictures and number, all self explain.... More

This was our first restaurant meal in Ponta Delgada and we probably set the bar a little to high. The service was good, the restaurant was comfortable, our waitress spoke english but the meals were bland. My wife had the fresh shark and I had a chicken dish. The Shark had no seasoning and the chicken was very salty. The... More
