Probably in the top two restaurants in the city

You can't go wrong dining here. It is top notch service with excellent food in the heart of the city. I would never go without a reservation. Prices are a little bit higher but then the quality of the food, ambience and service are also a little bit higher than 99% of the local restaurants.

During a recent visit in early April, this was one of our favorite restaurants. The restaurant is conveniently located one block off the main avenue by the harbor, a few blocks walk from our hotel, Marino Atlantico. My husband (a chef) and I enjoyed it so much the first time, we ate there three nights in a row out of... More

This is a lovely little restaurant with great service and good food. It was a very easy walk from our hotel (Marina Atlantico) and very close to the downtown area. It is just behind the San Pedro church. We went early (6pm) on a weekday (they open at 6), so the restaurant was pretty much ours. The waiter was attentive... More

We had lunch here and service was fine. There are picture menus in English and Portuguese. My husband had pasta (which is not featured on many local menus we saw) and I had beef with pineapple. The beef was very tender from local cows and side vegetables tasty. The only negative was the sauce was very salty, but otherwise a... More

Buzzy restaurant, good choice of dishes, my wife had the Perch which came with prawns and was very tasty, I had sirloin steak which was absolutely delicious but was covered in garlic, if you don't like garlic probably not the dish for you but I loved it!!! The waiters were very courteous and when we left they gave us a... More

Waiters are really rude, specially if they think your not going to spend lots of money (it was our case because we are a young couple and very often people undervalue us...... Short story: We didn't have dinner because we waited more than 45 minutes for a starter, for more than one hour we waited with water and a bottle... More

The restaurant is a bit of a way from the centre of town, but if you are staying near then it's worth a visit. We were the only tourists all the other diners seemed to be locals. Food was acceptable and the service was good. Price was average.

A very special place and a must for special occasions. Quite expensive, but worth a visit! I will never understand the local habit of serving cheese together with sweet jam as a starter, but both was of good quality. Excellent white local wine, solid squid, desert a little disappoing: Caramelized pineapple with vanilla ice cream came with a caramel sauce... More

The food: varied, great quality ingredients and an array of recipes that make your choice deliciously difficult! The fish is always fresh, straight from the Atlantic Ocean and the meat comes from the local cows, which you can see grazing in the green pastures around the island. Try the "Bife na Pedra" (steak on a hot stone), which is a... More
