Que we speak about one of the most recognized bar/restaurantes in the world, could be difficult to use the word surprise, but was what happened. Peter's café is known for the Gin's and the unic atmosphere but apart from that we were conquer by the excelent food and fantastic service. I recomend the Pirata' steak and the roasted Albacora. Again,... More

If you are looking to spend time with other travellers, this is the place.....if looking for local ambiance, and better food, you can do better elsewhere....staff are helpful but there were too many "gringos" for us

A typical sailors café/restaurant. If you are in Horta, you must have visited this place. Food is good, but here you come for the overall athmosphere. Mostly the place is crowdy, so you must have patience if there is no free space when you arrive. Located at the sailors port of Horta.

Come because it's a MUST DO if traveling to Azores and you find yourself on Faial. You'll find yourself coming back because of the live music and atmosphere. Service and food is alright but the beers are splendid. Rent a bike here and try to make it around the island in an afternoon for an adventure and if you want... More

…after 12 days at sea, what a welcome sight! Great service, and cold beer. Lively atmosphere, with regular live music. Went back the next day for lunch, and had a really delicious black pasta dish - very good value. Don't miss it - you haven't been to Horta, or the Azores until you've been to Cafe Sport!

From all accounts a must place to visit in Horta where all yachtsmen go. After reading the reviews on tripadvisor I made a point of calling in to check it out. Over my time in Horta I had lunch there 3 times. The portions are a good size and the service was pretty quick considering how busy it was each... More

Not much action in this small mid atalantic port. So it is a must stop for a beer or two. Bar staff Very friendly. A wealth of memorbilia on the walls ,ceiling, every inch is covered with anything imaginable. Even a Canadian hockey stick.

Cross the Atlantic from Antigua or any other Caribbean island and if your legs will take you amble up to Peters Cafe, Sport in Horta where you will find a welcome drink, good filling food and an ambiance like no other. This is the place where all tourists gather. Good atmosphere, especially if you want to meet new people from all over the world (portuguese wasn't the most spoken language when we visited), but not the kind of place I would go for dinner. Can be great for a beer and a bit of fun.
