The one thing you don't go to Peter's cafe sport for the food which is at best unimpressive. What is worth going for are the customers some of whom who arrive in Horta halfway through their voyage between Europe and America, others are tourists or from the sailing community. The tv offering sight of the great whales as they migrate... More

Great atmosphere, you can leave your "poste restante" if you want. Fodd is good, as is the service, which is in all the Azores in fact. And Horta is so beautiful, search for drawing from Cousteau, Tabarly,...

Well know, you cannot go to Horta without being to Peters Café Sport and have the famous Gin Tónico. The place is simply amazing and you have t learn a bit about its histoy to understand what's behind. Really gorgeous.

If you like Lisbon's Peter Sport Cafe, this is not the place for you. It's menu is completely different. With that said, the service was slow and the food was nothing special. As a fan of Lisbon's Peter, I was very disappointed.

It's the place to visit when in Horta or in the Azores. It's world knowed but the service is very unprofessional unfortunatly. Waiter to take much time to assit you, take your order and even they have mistaken on my bill. What lacks in service has in history. But in a near future that's not enough.

This place reminds me of the Black Dog on Martha's Vineyard: more brand name and faux fashion than anything else. Yes, get a drink here, but Do Not Eat Here. The menu is industrial and bland. You might come here thinking you've made some great find of a true sailors' haunt in an obscure port. Not! Though the occasional mariner... More

Since there are not so many choices in Horta we`d like to try the famous Cafe Sport. The Cafe was crowded but we got a table outside. The waiter tried it but the system was very confusing. When we got our dinner then, it wasn`t either nicely arranged or tasty.

Extremely crowded bar. We sat outside for a drink and some fries for our daughter. Finally got a waiter who took our order but after 40 minutes we left. Only bar in Horta we have not liked. Keep walking to next bay and you will get much better service.

Que we speak about one of the most recognized bar/restaurantes in the world, could be difficult to use the word surprise, but was what happened. Peter's café is known for the Gin's and the unic atmosphere but apart from that we were conquer by the excelent food and fantastic service. I recomend the Pirata' steak and the roasted Albacora. Again,... More

If you are looking to spend time with other travellers, this is the place.....if looking for local ambiance, and better food, you can do better elsewhere....staff are helpful but there were too many "gringos" for us
