We visited for dinner. The decor is traditional and welcoming. Excellent choice of local food and wines. The portions are huge...excellent value for money. Food was well cooked and very tasty. Service was excellent. We would highly recommend this place as a must visit in Horta!!

The simple and friendly place will let you plased. Generous portions and friendly staff are a must. You won't find fancy food but it's well made

Cosy restaurant, also frequented by local people. Good explanation (with the help of a book about the fish of the Azores) about the food. Friendly staff.

Opposite the Santander Totta bank, this restaurant offers good, friendly service and excellent local produce with a wide choice of fish and meat. Tourists are given a book on Azorean fish to help decipher the menu.

We made a special effort to track down this restaurant because it was billed as really great Portuguese food. We tried to book by phone but no-one ever answered, so we took a chance and walked to that end of town. Imagine our disappointment when we stood in the doorway for a full 5 minutes with waiters and staff going... More

Service was fast and good, the location is nice and the room felt welcoming, though walking between the tables was really not easy. The restaurant filled quickly. Prices are very good and portions are huge! The starter, fried mackerels, was absolutely delicious! Our main dishes, Albacore tuna and trigger-fish, were completely disappointing: the tuna was really dry and overcooked, the... More

This restaurant was okay, but our experience wasn't great. Unfortunately there wasn't a terrace, but since the weather is often bad in the Azores, I can imagine this isn't an issue most of the time. The food was okay, although we thought the fish was a little burned and grilled too long. The restaurant was quite small and there was... More

We went here for lunch and had a fantastic FRESH friend whole fish. LOVED IT!! The owner was friendly and the restaurant had a great old world feel. Also by chance was able to catch the TT stage of the Tour De France on the bar TV.
