Each mouthful is to savour...

This place is unlike other local restaurants - hey I love grilled chicken, a bucket of cataplana and piles of chips, but food at O Alembique is not for hoovering with beer. It is absolutely wonderful here! Loved the staff (super friendly and funny) and of course the food! It was truly amazing! Definitely coming back here! P.S. The bill does look a bit shocking (especially when you order starters main and desserts but we paid with joy because it's all freshly made and super tasty)

Always guaranteed beautiful food with periodic changes to the menu according to seasonal food which is a lovely idea. Freshness and taste being paramount to the ideal of the chef. Good ambiance made by pleasant surroundings and friendliness of the owner and her staff.

O Alambique was one of the most memorable dinners of our recent trip to Portugal. The service was excellent, they were accommodating for our two young children, the food was delicious, the chocolate mousse was divine and truly every bit of the food was prepared beautifully. I highly recommend this restaurant…it's lovely in every way.

Second visit to this very nice and friendly restaurant. The outside seating is very nice and the place has a special ambience. A busy menu leaves you guessing but the staff are quick to explain the dishes. Avoid the prawn pancake starter, very disappointing. The fish is lovely, sea bass and turbot were on our table and could not be... More

Dear WFN, thank you for you comment here on TA. However you've rated the wrong restaurant. I am guessing you meant to comment on Restaurante Alambique in Almancil... Unfortunatelt there are many , many mix up's... We don't have an outside seating right now. Our menu is quite small and very clear. There is no prawn pancake starter on our... More

We visit the restaurant mainly in the summer months. The food is mouthwatering, , always served with a smile. Marlene is passionate about produce, preparation, quality and service in her restaurant. Excellent value and always top quality. Good selection of wines, however the house wine is very good, again not overly priced. We often take the grand children, they are... More

I am from the UK and I came here with some friends who are regulars and live in Silves. I wasn't disappointed. The ambience is relaxed and friendly and very beautiful inside. We were welcomed with open arms and given time to read the menu and ask questions in our own time. I had scallops for starter, lamb for main... More

We spent three evenings at this restaurant and each time the service and food was superb, Marlen makes sure that everyone is made to feel very welcome.

We always make a point of dining at O Alambique whenever in the Algarve. Marlen is very welcoming and our waiter friendly and attentive. The food is exquisite; the flavour and presentation is first class. We look foward to our next visit in August.
