Just got back from eating at this restaurant it is 23.15 hours but half an hour later am now eating supper in my own home. Don't get me wrong the fare was ok' ish, arty tarty namby pamby food but without the excellence of true good dining that is available throughout the Algarve for the same price or much less,... More

Mr Peter R., I was going to defend us and explain each of your sentences. But the other comments on Tripadvisor do that for us! Only that one fact, that your very first sentence to me, after sitting down, was: 'you better be careful, I am a senior member with Tripadvisor!' More

We had a delicious meal here whilst on holiday, after a friend had recommended we visit. Service was discreet yet friendly, and we could have eaten anything on the menu. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. It was a little tricky to find the place - we were relying on sat nav, which let us down, so we were 20... More

It's been over 2 years since I last reviewd O Alambique: time for an update! It is still probably the best choice in the Algarve. The service is unique for its care and attention, eye for details and personal touch without 'over-friendliness' often found elsewhere. They still operate with a more or less fixed menu and then biweekly specials usually... More

Recently went here for dinner on our annual golf trip to Portugal. What a restaurant. The service was outstanding and the food I have to say was honestly some of the best food I have ever tasted. You cannot afford not go to this restaurant if you are in the area simply magnificent ....

Excellent food, value & service. Our group of ten recently visited Algarve on a golf holiday. We ate out every night and this was by far the best restaurant we visited. We were warmly welcomed by the chef/proprietor Marlene and from the first greeting to walking out the door our group felt like VIPs. The attention to detail in the... More

We ate here with our 2 year old little boy. It was easy to make a reservation and the staff very welcoming when we arrived. The service was good throughout although a little slow at times(when after three courses our little one wanted to go to bed) It is relaxed but the food is very good. The setting is also... More

My wife and I were visiting Silves one evening and decided to try somewhere different as we normally stay around Carvoeiro. After finding this restaurant online we drove 10 mins out of Silves and were seated in a lovely atmospheric room. All courses were magnificent. We started with home made carob and zucchini bread in the couvert which was followed... More

The food at this restaurant is very high quality and the service was top notch. If you're staying near the beaches don't let the location dissuade you from visiting. The 20 minute drive fro A de Pera is beyond worth it. My husband and I started with the seared scallops and leeks and then had the John Dory grilled fish... More

Hade a super nice dinner there with friends. The owner Marlen is a great hostess. We will defiantly be back there when we are in the area again.
