After visiting Sagres Fortress we found advertisement voucher at our car! Between few offers we choose to take lunch at Retiro de Pescador. That's was the right decision. Very good fish selection. I took - Garoupa, but my wife took - dourada. Bought were white, delicious. Price range is okey - Sardine 8 Euro, dourada - 12 Euro, garoupa -... More

Fresh fish, perfectly prepared and great local deserts. Attentive staff and very quick service. What more can you ask?! Well... the atmosphere is a bit quaint, but original and with lots of locals. Only thing I would really drop is the TV, which I never thought has any place in a restaurant. Overall, best fish we have had in Algarve.... More

Absolutely first rate fish restaurant. Not the easiest to find, but well frequented by locals. A good choice of fresh catch and wonderfully grilled. Meats, also, of a high standard. A good selection of wines. Very honestly priced with good friendly service. Highly recommended.

Very nice staff and the food is amazing, I've always gone for grilled fish, very fresh and super tasty. I would reccomend the 'pregado' with a bottle of chilled white Pomares from the douro region. As a starter the clams with coriander and lemon are a must!

We received a flyer on our car while visiting the fort in sagres, thought we would give it a go. The most delicious squid and massive serving sizes! My friends shared the shellfish rice and were overwhelmed by all the crab/prawns/clams etc etc Give it a go!

This restaurant couldn't be more local. Tucked in a backstreet it is not the most picturesque location and the place is far from fancy but is made up in buckets by the quality of the food. I don't think you can go wrong here with any of the fish dishes. I tried the Cuttlefish in Beans and it was delicious... More

Lunch time approaches and start the search... Where we go... One flyer on the windshield's car and says "Retiro do Pescador". Nice staff, cool environment, the fish was very good, fresh and well cooked!! Price/quality very good.

To seafood enthusiasts like my parents, this place was a dream. I could have used a little more sauce with the clams & shrimp, or some bread, or rice, or something to break up the fishy taste. The spicy prawns were amazing though, as were the very interesting deserts.

We've come here three times already, and each time we have encountered great service, fresh fish and relaxing Portuguese atmosphere.. Try the "amêijoas a bolhao pato", grilled seabass, and the almond roll!..
