The fish is just excellent, the view is oustanding, the waiters are nice. We have been to several restaurants in Portugal and this was by far the best. Then, why the reviews are so bad? We took the time to think about it, asked some questions around and here are a couple of ideas: 1) we came in autumn when... More

After spending a few weeks wondering Portugal and Spain trying manly different Foods / Resturant, finding "A Sagres" was quite the treat. I first stopped in thinking I would have a quick bit for lunch, not expecting much. What I received was incredible! The vegetable soup was clean and lite and the perfect match to the Smoke Ham and aged... More

We had a great lunch at this restaurant - really fresh local prawns, fish red mullet and squids. The stuff was nice. And wonderful deserts - espically the one made of figs. Recommend this!

having read the reviews we were expecting more from this place. The fish soup was sent back as it was barely warm. Sea bream was OK, but the meat skewer was dry. We couldn't complain about the quantity of food but the quality was a little lacking.

We visited this small restaurant in the middle of a trip of Algarve. The terrace isn't the nicest but the interior is beautiful. The staff is kind and incredible funny :) Nuno is sweet like a jug of sangria :P For starter the fish soup was very nice, vegetable soup was average. For main we tried grilled red mullet and... Nice place with excellent seafood and very welcoming staff. Even if the electricity went a few times.

After some hesitation we decided to enter this restaurant thanks to the reviews on trip advisor. We took a plate of fresh prawns as a starter followed by squid for my wife and sea brassem for me. The fish was prepared in a perfect way and so was the squid. Do not expect to have loads of fantasies next to... More

The food was very good and the price was right. We ordered Besugo fish and they brought us a bit more of sardines because the fish they had was small. This was very kind and the staff was really nice and helpful.

From the outside appearance this restaurant doesn't look much but we were all wowed by the food and service. We all chose the fresh sea bream and this was excellent and good value. Best to leave space for dessert as they are to die for. The owner was extraordinarily friendly and service was quick despite it being almost full. Well... More

Delicious grilled Dourado, seafood spaghetti and fish soup, OK cuttlefish, delicious desserts (Pastel de Nata and gif and carob cake). As others have said, service was pretty slow, I think because they only have one waiter even at the busy lunchtime we were there, but if you're not in a hurry this restaurant seemed great value. An the service didn't... More
