Dinner in Loulé

This restaurant is very good and has a menu full of surprises.. One thing: during winter it is somewhat cold in there, despite several gas heaters.

Offers typical and genuine portuguese dishes. Ordered rabbit stew and it was awesome! Local wine was very good. Staff was nice and very helpful explaining the dishes. Nicely decorated restaurant: extremely quaint.

If you're looking for a very fancy place to be seen and to see socialites, this is the wrong kind of fancy place. But if you want genuine and wonderful food, in a beautiful and very Portuguese environment, this is it. I was there on several occasions for lunch and dinner. The lunch is simple and you chose between 2... More

Visited this restaurant several years ago and thought we would give it another go. 7 of us ate there and none of us were bowled over by the service or the food. The presunto (starter) came long after we had finished the bread and cheese, so had to order more bread. 3 people ordered the Salmon for their main meal,... More

We visited the restaurant for a special occasion with family after walking past it. This restaurant was disappointing to say the least. Painfully slow service (there were only 3 tables!) and distinctively average food. We will not be returning, which is a shame because the restaurant had such potential.

Maybe non-Portuguese visitors have different standards...but this is nothing more than an average restaurant: Service is friendly OK...but forgetful and slow; the food is nothing to bragg about (but not bad....), proces are OK (42 € dinner for 3 people) Nice terrasse outside, just close to the Igreja Matriz. Very quiet and pleasant. Would I go back? Well, probably not,... More

As we lazily wandered the streets of Loule at 2pm, we stumbled across this excellent restaurant for a quick lunch. What a superb decision! The menu was full of Portugese delights and the food , wine, and service were absolutely excellent. It was so good that our quick lunch turned into 3 courses, wine and coffee and we left at... More

Just a terrific restaurant, wonderful location in the back streets of Loule, on a small square near the church and gardens. Sit outside and soak up the sun or experience the magical environment of the old olive oil crushing mill.

A bit above the average for Loulé but well worth a visit for a special occasion. Great service and live music some nights.

This is a great little restaurant in a lovely old part of Loule town. After having heard some really bad reports about this restaurant some years back, we then started to hear that they had improved immensely. We decided to see and try for ourselves, we were impressed. Great old building with good friendly waiting staff and excellent lunchtime menu... More
