Restaurante Apolo-Loule Found it by chance because was raining outside and needed to find a place as soon as possible (baby in the push chair). Close to the centre in a narrow street, very traditional. Staff very pleasant, food amazing, very very good value, best experience in the whole week spent in the Algarve. Don’t miss the glass of red wine for 1 euro. The coffee was 0.60 euros, I had a nice fish for 7 euros and my husband the sardines for 5.5 euros. Everything was very well cooked, nice veg, sauce excellent…again was our best experience ever.

Simple Breakfast

When you want a simple, no frills, wholesome breakfast, this is the perfect place. They speak English and try hard to please their customers. Fresh orange juice, scrambled eggs with bacon and beans, with buttered toast, served promptly.

This was absolutely the worst food we have had anywhere .... Won't even bother to go into details. Two different dishes came to the table and both were bad. Save yourself some aggravation and avoid at all cost !!!

We had a lovely lunch here for 7 of us including 2 children sitting outside. Very helpful service in clean and pleasant side street.

We decided to try this little restaurant in Loule town centre. Great variety for lunchtime dishes of the day and for those who prefered from the A la Carte menu, there was great choice too. The food was very well presented and tasted good, albeit it took a while to get to us and it was not overly busy, so... More

Have visited here numerous times and the food is always excellent. The flambéd chorizo from the tapas menu is delicious. Great service and amazing price. Will definitely be back.

Just a really nice lunch in a fairly quiet area in Loule in a little pedestrian precinct just near the "Dancing Girls" roundabout. We had squid (for me) and parma ham and olives for the other half. Followed by Pork (with a madeira sauce) for me and turkey for "him".

The main courses were slightly above average with both the Turkey dishes and Portuguese steak being well cooked. One of the sweets was flambe pineapple. Different and worth a try which all in all made a rating of very good.

I'd read the reviews before going on holiday and completely forgot about this place until towards the end of our stay...what a shame! We dined there Thursday 10.10.13 and had our best meal of the week. Gorgeous tapas and the pork in madeira wine sauce was delicious! So much so, we decided to eat there friday night as well! Once... We stumbled upon Apolo last year when we were in Loule and the food was out of this world. We went back this year and the food is even better and the prices are still incredibly good. We ate at Apolo 4 times during our holiday and each time the food and the service was brilliant. Not to be missed!
