In my last review of this restaurant I advised prospective diners to book in advance. This was due to being rushed through my meal as I was a "walk in" on my last visit. This time I heeded my own advice.I booked in advance. Although my wife and I were 10 mins early our table was ready. The food was... More

It's a nice little restaurant located on a back street of Lagos. The food is great and you will find a perfectly cooked shrimp and claim cataplana. The place is small but cosy and the staff is very friendly. Overall: a must go in Lagos!

We went with family on the strength of the reviews here and what a great find! Very plain from the outside and uninspiring but a little gem. Do go hungry as the portions are vast, serving the main with rice and fried/sauté potatoes.... we took a huge doggie bag home after eating all we could. House wine was also very... More

One of the best meals I've ever had in a restaurant. If you want to try real Portuguese food, that's the place to go.

Visiting Lagos in May our group of friends decided to check Trip Advisor for a great restaurant. So glad we did. This place is amazing!! Small restaurant which is perfect given the surroundings but the food is worth any wait. Staff and chef are very friendly. This was by far our best meal in Lagos. Make sure you map quest... More

Reviews of this place were in the guest comments book in our apartment and decided to give it a go. What a great decision. The place is tiny but managed to get in. The portions are huge so just had main courses - the pork is to die for. When we came out there was a large queue and I... More

We managed to get a last minute booking on the day, the place was packed on a mid-week evening end of October. Seems to be very popular with both locals and tourists, there's usually a queue but it moves relatively fast as people don't tend to linger after they finish eating, it's not a very atmospheric place (brightly lit, basic... Definitely worth a dinner or 2 here. Huge portions, quality food and all provided by one chef who loves he's cooking. This place is a mecca for anyone who knows or finds out about it. You will notice all the bad comments are about having to wait for a table, well its true because its that good that its that... More
