One of the best meals I've ever had in a restaurant. If you want to try real Portuguese food, that's the place to go.

Visiting Lagos in May our group of friends decided to check Trip Advisor for a great restaurant. So glad we did. This place is amazing!! Small restaurant which is perfect given the surroundings but the food is worth any wait. Staff and chef are very friendly. This was by far our best meal in Lagos. Make sure you map quest... More

Reviews of this place were in the guest comments book in our apartment and decided to give it a go. What a great decision. The place is tiny but managed to get in. The portions are huge so just had main courses - the pork is to die for. When we came out there was a large queue and I... More

We managed to get a last minute booking on the day, the place was packed on a mid-week evening end of October. Seems to be very popular with both locals and tourists, there's usually a queue but it moves relatively fast as people don't tend to linger after they finish eating, it's not a very atmospheric place (brightly lit, basic... Definitely worth a dinner or 2 here. Huge portions, quality food and all provided by one chef who loves he's cooking. This place is a mecca for anyone who knows or finds out about it. You will notice all the bad comments are about having to wait for a table, well its true because its that good that its that... More

This is typical Portuguese restaurant, quite basic, can be cramped, but the food is amazing. The chef cooks everything to order in sight of the whole restaurant. He can be very entertaining. You can book if you want to eat before 7.30 if not be prepared to queue. Portions are huge so order some dishes to share. Very reasonable prices,... More

We ate here for Sunday lunch, popping in a couple of hours before to book our table as the place is tiny. I had the speciality prawns with a portion of fried potatoes which were enough for about 3 people - all really tasty. My husband ordered hake fillet and he got served 8 of them!! Great food, great prices... More

I almost do NOT want to write this review and thus ruin the quaint aspect of this family-run restaurant in the backstreets of Lagos. This was a last-minute find for my sister and I, and we arrived to early to find an empty restaurant at 6:15 pm. Good thing we did, because we snagged a table for 2 before crowds... More

The restaurant couldn't fit us in last year so we booked on our first night in Lagos this year. We had been told about this place by a local, who told us to keep the secret to ourselves! Wow, it was amazing and worth the years wait. We had a little wait in the quiet backstreet, outside the tiny eating... More
