One of the main gripes people have with Casinha do Petisco is the waiting time and booking system. For those who don't already know, you can only book a table up to 7.00pm. After that it is supposed to be 'first come, first served' and you will invariably have to queue. That said, if you get there reasonably early after... More

Went there twice at ~6-7 pm and managed to get a table without booking. I tried the fish cataplana and the mixed cataplana, both of which were amazing. The daily vegetable soup was really nice too. Portions are big (couldn't finish the mixed cataplana with my girlfriend, and I eat a LOT), prices are low, and waiting times are short.... More

I visited this restaurant with friends and we totally loved it! Especially the Catalplana! The staff are really nice, and the manager goes around the tables to make sure everything is okay! Don't miss trying this restaurant when in Lagos!

We had a large group of us for dinner, so we weren't expecting to be seated together, but they accommodated us. The portions are large, so I didn't need a starter. I had the filet mignon Portugese style and it was delicious. My friend had the salmon and the portion was really generous. There were no complaints from our table,... More

The best food in Lagos . The best cataplana in the city. Go there and you won't regret . Even if you will stay on the line in order to eat ( the place is little ) , at the end you will be happy with your choise. I have tryed the fish cataplana . Try it !

My husband and I visited Casinha do Petisco after reading all of the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. It took a few tries - the first time we got there around 8:30 and there were probably 10+ people lined up in the street waiting to get in. Two nights later we went back when the restaurant opened at 6:00 pm and... More

We visit this restaurant at least once a year on our annual holiday to Lagos. Prices have gone up a touch, but still amazing value (Portuguese steak for 12€ is a must, but will leave no room for dessert!), the food is superb & chef always gives a show! It is a small restaurant so get there by 18:00 or... More

If you are in Lagos you must to go. Everybody knows and they say how difficult is to find a place and how good it is. It's quite difficult to find because is a little bit out of all the touristic streets. Funny small place with capacity 28 people. There are only 4 people working: chef (Luis and owner) waiter,...
