This is a Pearl and it is first class all the way. Service is familiar and welcoming, but make a reservation, it is full all the year. The food is execellent, the spicy shrimps is the parade dish, best in the world. Go there and enjoy.

The best food in Lagos and whole Algarve. Their prawns were absolutely delicious and the best I have ever had. Just to be prepared that in the evening there is very hard to get in because of big queue so try to make a reservation in advance or go there for a lunch :) Normal price for food, higher price... The best food of Lagos and Algarve. Its a place that you need to visit. A melhor comida de Lagos e Algarve. Sitio de paragem obrigatoria.

Prawns in Garlic are simply wonderful. The taste is absolutely memorable. The house wine is excellent.

Prices are low, staff if friendly and helpful and the portions are VERY generous. The food is meticulously prepared. The only negative point is how small the restaurant is. It fills up fast, so either get there early, or be prepared to wait. You can certainly share a single portion between 2 people and both will be amply fed. I... More

Very difficult to get a table here, not the most friendly of service but really delicious traditional food. I had the cataplanas, which was best.

After a recommendation from our host in Portugal we thought we would give this local joint a try. To make it short: this was one of the best meals we have had in 6 months travelling. My partner had Portuguese steak (which was perfect and so full of flavour) and I had the prawns with clams and that was absolutely... More

Although this restaurant has a very good reputation for food (quantity not quality) have just visited out of season and the service was appalling. A surly waiter who gave the impression that we were inconveniencing him so we cancelled our order, paid for our drinks (which we didn't finish as we just wanted to leave) and left. There are far... A great find with superb hospitality and even better food. We had the cataplana, the Algarve prawns and the sea bass - all excellent. Washed down with a vino verde. Then dessert - huge chocolate cake and tiramisu, both lovely. Best restaurant of the area for us.

From the first moment we walked through the door you could sense you were somewhere special, the owners greet you as if they've known you for years and the smell of the food was so special. I had the lamb chops which were delightful, my wife the sea bass which was meaty and seasoned to perfection and our boys the... More
