We managed to get a last minute booking on the day, the place was packed on a mid-week evening end of October. Seems to be very popular with both locals and tourists, there's usually a queue but it moves relatively fast as people don't tend to linger after they finish eating, it's not a very atmospheric place (brightly lit, basic... Definitely worth a dinner or 2 here. Huge portions, quality food and all provided by one chef who loves he's cooking. This place is a mecca for anyone who knows or finds out about it. You will notice all the bad comments are about having to wait for a table, well its true because its that good that its that... More

This is typical Portuguese restaurant, quite basic, can be cramped, but the food is amazing. The chef cooks everything to order in sight of the whole restaurant. He can be very entertaining. You can book if you want to eat before 7.30 if not be prepared to queue. Portions are huge so order some dishes to share. Very reasonable prices,... More

We ate here for Sunday lunch, popping in a couple of hours before to book our table as the place is tiny. I had the speciality prawns with a portion of fried potatoes which were enough for about 3 people - all really tasty. My husband ordered hake fillet and he got served 8 of them!! Great food, great prices... More

I almost do NOT want to write this review and thus ruin the quaint aspect of this family-run restaurant in the backstreets of Lagos. This was a last-minute find for my sister and I, and we arrived to early to find an empty restaurant at 6:15 pm. Good thing we did, because we snagged a table for 2 before crowds... More

The restaurant couldn't fit us in last year so we booked on our first night in Lagos this year. We had been told about this place by a local, who told us to keep the secret to ourselves! Wow, it was amazing and worth the years wait. We had a little wait in the quiet backstreet, outside the tiny eating... More

This place was recommended to us by a number of people, so we thought we should try it. Well, it was better than expected. The food was amazing, huge portions, so don't order a big starter or you will never finish it. Either get there early, about 7.30 or you may have to wait. If you do have to wait,... More

We liked the first visit so much we returned the next night. The shrimp meal was voted the best meal and was reminiscent of meals we had in Indonesia and Asia, with it's flavouring of coconut, spices and cilantro. All the meals were very good, certainly very filling and as most other reviews large enough that you don't have to... More

We came here twice and had the Cataplana with seafood and pork. You really won't need a starter! It fed myself and my partner easily and we're greedy people! We even took some home with us. Staff and chef are very friendly.

Through Tripadvisor we read that this restaurant had a very good reputation for food, but we received very rude service. We requested the receptionist of our hotel to call for a reservation, this was not possible. We went that afternoon to the restaurant and the lady owner told us no reservations were made and had to que the line in... More
