We have made several return visits to this restaurant during stays at Lagos and each time the quality of food is superb. On this occasion we dined with friends and ordered in advance sea food cataplanas which were outstanding.

We ate here last year and only found it on are last night, so this vacation we went first night and will a few times. The service is fast and busy it's a very small restaurant that needs to sell the tables a few times. So no bookings you just turn up and wait outside, but well worth the wait...

Food was great but service is poor, the lady does all the work and her husband is a really nice guy but not a good waiter, if they had one other staff on the floor to cut down waiting for everything it would be perfect for a night out, well priced, great portions, she had prawns and clams, delicious flavor,...

Tiny little place and we had to wait for our pre-booked (!) table for about 30min but the food was totally worth the wait. We had a seafood cataplana, it was delicious and the portions WERE huge. The staff was very friendly and apologetic that we had to wait, which was nice. When we were eating there were people coming...

the restaurant wasn't to crowded we got in around 7 pm had the best starter Prawns House Special and i had a pepper steak the portions was huge i barely finished my steak !! good service 5 stars
We love this place, in particular for 'Prawns Piri-Piri' with fried potatoes. You must book even in Winter, it is always crowded which speaks well of the quality of the food.
After reading the review posted on the 1st April I thought we needed a change from this restaurant so last night we tried Cataplana at a different restaurant in Lagos, I now realise this review must have been an April fool!!! The food here is soooooo good, you would be a fool not to have this on your top 5...

Absolutely loved the food here! The prawns were great and the seafood and meat stew was fabulous! However, the stew is a massive portion so can easily be shared by two. Would definitely recommend this restaurant (which is a charming part of town) to everyone!
Deservedly a very popular restaurant specialising in local cuisine. Book ahead if you want to eat there. Ideal for young tourists who have big appetites and enjoy very good food. I suggest sharing courses between two or even three people if you dislike waste. Portions are huge!!!!.
second visit to Lagos and made sure we booked this time! Didn't disappoint, food was just as good this time! Had spaghetti with prawns and side order of potatoes to break up meal! As you can see from photos very large portions but good value for money! Meal for 2 of us cost around 35 € inc starters & drinks!...
