A great little restaurant. Great food, great service and a very relaxing place to eat. We ate here several times during our holiday and would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Keep up the good work and pleased you are getting good reviews. ( this is the lady who writes the diary )

Lagos was a new venture for us as usually we go to either Albufeira or Olhos d'agua we therefore were "blind" when it came to restaurants near to Vila Branca. "O Pirata was a 5 min walk for usand we visited 3 times in our week.It is run by Sergio senior behind the bar and serving, his son Sergio jnr... More

We arrived in here on our first evening. We were tired from travelling, so we didn't want the hassle of going into the town. There was a good crowd in the restaurant on the night, but the waiter immediately made up a table for us three. He was very knowledgeable, and when it got very busy, was ably assisted by... More

My sister and I ate here on Tuesday 8 October having wandered down from Vilabranca Apartments. The food was fantastic - the monkfish skewers looked and tasted fantastic and the almond tart at the end was brilliant. We were seriously impressed that one of the waiters could converse fluently in both English and German and had a sense of humour... More

Staff were very attentive and our food arrived quickly. Had the drunken chicken- delicious!!!! Children had the mixed kebabs which were delicious as well. Fantastic food but go early as there are queues.

Having been messed about earlier with accomodation we were desperate to find somewhere nice to eat. This was recommended by a German man and must say the food was very good and the place had a very good atmosphere. We will be going there agaion next time we are in Lagos.

Great to see this restaurant open again. It's always been one of our favourites in Lagos. Looking forward to visiting in Aug and spending many a night there.

Kids loved the axes, sharks head etc decorating walls! Menu good. Husband had steak, I had special " drunken chicken", kids spaghetti. Wine went down very well. Staff attentive. Manager talked us in - glad he did! Recommend.
