Top service and food

Stumbled across this little gem of a place on our second visit to Lagos. Very knowledgeable & friendly staff giving helpful advise if required. Cannot fault the food, generous portions presented well. Would certainly recommend for those looking for a small quiet restaurant out of town.

Great place to go for fish. Kept going back. Grilled Tuna excellent with simple tastey veggies. Sea Bream was just as good. My favourite was Tuna with Algarve type sauce of onions and peppers - stunning. Very friendly staff. Fabulous!

Decided to eat here on a rare evening without the grandchildren. We have eaten at this location before under previous ownership and liked the ambiance. On this occasion we were also very impressed with the service, the new people have been here for a year and are obviously trying very hard to make the place successful. The food is very... More

Lagos was a new venture for us as usually we go to either Albufeira or Olhos d'agua we therefore were "blind" when it came to restaurants near to Vila Branca. "O Pirata was a 5 min walk for usand we visited 3 times in our week.It is run by Sergio senior behind the bar and serving, his son Sergio jnr... More

We arrived in here on our first evening. We were tired from travelling, so we didn't want the hassle of going into the town. There was a good crowd in the restaurant on the night, but the waiter immediately made up a table for us three. He was very knowledgeable, and when it got very busy, was ably assisted by... More

My sister and I ate here on Tuesday 8 October having wandered down from Vilabranca Apartments. The food was fantastic - the monkfish skewers looked and tasted fantastic and the almond tart at the end was brilliant. We were seriously impressed that one of the waiters could converse fluently in both English and German and had a sense of humour... More

Staff were very attentive and our food arrived quickly. Had the drunken chicken- delicious!!!! Children had the mixed kebabs which were delicious as well. Fantastic food but go early as there are queues.
