Situated on the main drag through the Old Town, amongst other similar restaurants, the Caravela delivers pretty much what you'd expect. The service was pretty decent considering how busy it was, and the food was fine - what I would describe as typical 'Greek Taverna' fare (though of course it was not Greek). Not too expensive, and a good location... More

Calamari and Fish Soup, followed by Tropicana Pizza! Very nice indeed! Free Wifi was great! Nice location, right opposite a fantastic cheap chinese restaurant, which was my 2nd day choice!

Visiting Lagos and had one restaurant (so-so) the first night, a "highly recommended" one from TripAdvisor the second (pitiful. Really disappointing, actually pretty awful all things considered) and then this one. I was looking for sardines and pizza (two of us, different desires). Pizza isn't always great and/or sardines/seafood. Was doing the 'over the shoulder' look at all the eateries... More

We went past this place on most days and it was always busy. Finally on our last day in Lagos there was an empty table so we gave it a try. So glad we did as it was a great place to eat. We had a few buskers come and go on the street which added to the atmosphere. The... More

Great food. I had the turkey steak and it was really good, We sat outside and the waiters made up a table for 5 of us. One of the few places I went to that had a cider: Sommerset.

Was in this restaurant 30 years ago when travelling Europe as our one big treat. It was amazing then it is amazing now!! The lamb in red wine is just Devine!! The waiters are friendly, professional and know exactly what they are at. Talented buskers entertained us with a few jazz numbers like we were part of a movie while... More

Had a very enjoyable meal here. Swordfish was delicious and the fillet steak very good. Had the banana split for dessert and it was lovely and big enough for two people. Bill was very reasonable and waiters pleasant. Nice seating area outside to watch the world go by. Recommend

Had a meal here last night and after reading other people's comments I must say i found the service to be fine. However, the four of us had different impressions of the food. My husband ordered the piri-piri chicken and found it dry (although we have nothing to compare it to as it was the first time we ordered this... More

During 10 nights in Lagos we ate at Caravela 3 times. The seabass was delicious and the garlic bread with cheese as a starter was yummy. Great staff, and great location for people watching!
