Grumpy waiters are never a good start but hey. Menu is the same as so many other places, I had piri piri and chicken had seen better days. Kids had pizza which was fine.Calamari starter was poor. Would not return.

My partner and I visited for lunch, attracted by the price of the menu and it looked busy (usually a good indicator). We ordered drinks, which arrived immediately, and then we sat ignored for over an hour after ordering our mains (chicken and sardines). The food was basic and tasty enough, but certainly nothing to wait an hour for. Gave... More

In the heart of Lagos this unassuming restaurant is a little gem. The service is good, the ambience created by the variety of street performers (musicians when we were there) is a great atmospheric addition. The clams in garlic oil and lemon are wonderful, the pasta was fresh and very good, but the crepes - just lovely!

My family ate here mainly because it was busy (always a good sign) and it was reasonably priced, unlike most of the restaurants along this street. We had 4 starters, mains and puds, 2 beers and 5 soft drinks all for 80 euros. The calamari and cheese garlic bread was lovely, the apple pie and chocolate cake were fab too.... More

Situated on the main drag through the Old Town, amongst other similar restaurants, the Caravela delivers pretty much what you'd expect. The service was pretty decent considering how busy it was, and the food was fine - what I would describe as typical 'Greek Taverna' fare (though of course it was not Greek). Not too expensive, and a good location... More

Calamari and Fish Soup, followed by Tropicana Pizza! Very nice indeed! Free Wifi was great! Nice location, right opposite a fantastic cheap chinese restaurant, which was my 2nd day choice!

Visiting Lagos and had one restaurant (so-so) the first night, a "highly recommended" one from TripAdvisor the second (pitiful. Really disappointing, actually pretty awful all things considered) and then this one. I was looking for sardines and pizza (two of us, different desires). Pizza isn't always great and/or sardines/seafood. Was doing the 'over the shoulder' look at all the eateries... More

We went past this place on most days and it was always busy. Finally on our last day in Lagos there was an empty table so we gave it a try. So glad we did as it was a great place to eat. We had a few buskers come and go on the street which added to the atmosphere. The... More

Great food. I had the turkey steak and it was really good, We sat outside and the waiters made up a table for 5 of us. One of the few places I went to that had a cider: Sommerset.
