Stopped for lunch at Dom Sebastiao, after reading several excellent reviews in guidebooks, and was underwhelmed by our meal. Service was professional and correct if not terribly warm. My husband's grilled tuna was overly salty for his taste; my mussels were tasty if a bit heavy (prepared with onions, green peppers, tomato and white wine but a bit thicker consistency... More

The busy, smart-looking restaurant drew us in. The service was great and the food was wonderful! We had steaks, which were cooked to perfection along with their sides. There is possibly a slight price difference compared to other restaurants, but in our experience, the other restaurants along the same street are over priced and this restaurant is priced well. If... Slow, slow, service. The waiter was very busy and a little rude if i'm honest. The place is full of English tourists, the food is pretty good and very reasonably priced. It certainly does have a good atmosphere and is worth a visit ( if you don't mind waiting)

Walking along the street, we were a bit concerned about what the restaurant might be like - other restaurants along the street are very touristy, serving full English breakfasts, showing Sky sports, etc. We came to Dom Sebastião and were immediately pleased with what we saw - charming checked tablecloths, linen napkins, wine glasses, etc. We were able to sit... This is a very average restaurant where those who order wine and large fish are prioritised by the team. We ordered sardines and greek salad - full of onions. It was fresh but half a bowl of onions takes the flavour off anything. We ordered a children's sausage and chips, the oil coming off the sausages was disgusting and would... More
