Excellent Freshly Cooked Crab...

The restaurant had the feel of an upscale "Italian" dining room with formal uniformed waiters, but the food is Portugese. All the waiters are extremely professional and personable. Visited this wonderful restaurant again with family. Right in the main thoroughfare in Lagos, this well established restaurant lived up to its usual high standards. Great service, great food, great wine and great prices. Such a pity that it was empty. Try the steak Bernease or the Fish Stew and make sure you try the pears poached in Port with... More

In the Main Street lovely traditional restaurant, polite service, good food, we went twice once for lunch and sat outside, inside for dinner, lovely Portuguese decor, good cataplana, almonds and port.

Was recommended this restaurant by a fellow passenger on a flight over and it was definitely worth the visit, Reasonably priced Meal for family of 5 less than €50. Children had massive bowls of pasta, I had the chicken curry and wife had the avocado and pear (was actually Apple) salad Everyone happy

Professional hosts, food is made with love, sincere service, house wine was perfect, great couvert and main dishes are very tasteful. Little things that makes you just smile! One out of a hundred places you go for dinner which give you the feeling that every euro spent was worth it! Just go there and experience yourself!

Eight of us ate here on our last night as a treat as a little more expensive than the others we used in Lagos during a weeks stay. It was worth every euro and the house wine at I think around 10 euros, was excellent. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection, steaks the same and all fish dishes... More

This restaurant proved to be a real surprise for us. We were visiting the Algarve over the New Year and spent an afternoon in Lagos. As you would expect from a town which very much serves a tourist clientele, a very large number of the restaurants look like tourist traps. We were recommended this restaurant by our excellent hotel (it... More

Let me preface this by saying I was there with a large group, and, thus, had a choice of only two entrees. It didn't matter. Both selections were fabulous. I had a chicken and potato dish, cooked and served in a terra cotta pot, steaming and fragrant. Others moaned with delight over their sea bass. Before that, though, we were... More

I have eaten at Dom Sebastiao as a tour manager with tour groups and also on my own, and every experience has been absolutely wonderful. The food is great and presented in a beautiful manner, the staff is friendly and very professional (as well as English-speaking), and the owner obviously takes great pride in his restaurant and the quality of...
