Let me preface this by saying I was there with a large group, and, thus, had a choice of only two entrees. It didn't matter. Both selections were fabulous. I had a chicken and potato dish, cooked and served in a terra cotta pot, steaming and fragrant. Others moaned with delight over their sea bass. Before that, though, we were... More

I have eaten at Dom Sebastiao as a tour manager with tour groups and also on my own, and every experience has been absolutely wonderful. The food is great and presented in a beautiful manner, the staff is friendly and very professional (as well as English-speaking), and the owner obviously takes great pride in his restaurant and the quality of... Excellent waiters, high class service and classy well prepared good looking dishes. We ate outside but the inside of this building is so beautiful. We had lunch. We chose no starters but instead the bread and olives etc, Well!!! They came with incredible pate, cheese and vegetables in garlic and oil. The coffee is served with a basket of almonds... More

This restaurant has under gone some changes since our visit last year: new menu and new style of presentation. What a surprise and some great new food, scallops , Black pigs check, good range of vegetarian options , a long with all the standard Portuguese meals - beef, range of fresh fish, try Kid in red wine . All tastes... More

The food was nice but the place lacked ambience and character. It tries to be fine dining but feel that the food may not live up to it. The chicken pot was lovely and just like my mum's cooking. Their saving grace was the figs, almonds and almond liqueur at the end of the meal.

I have got a tip to visit this restaurant from a friend of mine. It was one of the best dinner during the whole vacations. But have to mention that it was also one of the most expensive dinner. At the evening you probably will have to wait for a table, but not too long. It is always a small... More

Walking the streets of Lagos we were following our noses undecided where to eat. We sniffed and saw a huge pot on a table outside with four people digging in and pulling out crab claws, giant prawns and Mussels...we were straight in there. Ruben was our waiter and he was absolutely Fantastic, this restaurant made our holiday and he was... More

Our three visits to this restaurant last week really made our holiday. The food, atmosphere and service were second to none and our evenings spent here were memorable. We will be back to eat here next time we visit Lagos and well done to the entire restaurant team.

The food was really good. The waiter showed us the fresh fish we could choose. However he really pushed for the sales, what did not make usfeel comfortable. Furthermore it was very crowds and none of the waiters had a smile on their faces.

We are sorry that our waiters were not sufficiently nice to you. It is true that they were quite stressed because we had 2 groups dining in the main restaurant. Both groups arrived delayed and caused some confusion . We apologize for the bad service and hope to be able to serve you again in a better way. More

Dom Sebastiao is the perfect place in Lagos to do just that. Every plate of seafood that came to our table was excellent. The Cod, the Sardines, the Mackerel, all of it. The flaming Chourizo was odd, granted. What is it about Portuguese bread that you can't stop eating it? The accompaniments were excellent, the paté was sinful. The wine... More
