Excellent Food

Ate at this restaurant in February. Very well presented, clean, bright & well laid out. The waitress was very pleasant and friendly. Started off with the covet which we found to be sufficient enough to go straight to the main course. I had the steak in mushroom sauce which was delicious. My wife... read more

The restaurant is in the historical center of Lagos, serving authentic local dishes. I understand it's a family run place, which really shows, the service was very attentive and friendly. Prices were very reasonable, and the portions so generous. We tried dorada in almonds, pork with figs, grilled golden bream - all were excellent. Try Vino Verde - slightly sparkly... More

This Cataplana is the real deal - no canned tomatoes - rather big chunks of real tasty tomatoes, plenty of Monk Fish, lots of clams and shrimp - garlic and white wine. But the topper is the large bouquet of mint and cilantro (coriander) on the top. We enjoyed many cataplanas during our visit to Portugal but none like this.... More

Only ate here once, after trying some other restaurants wish we had returned later in our holiday. We had the monkfish and prawn cataplana, fantastic dish, loads of flavour, huge chunks of monkfish. Friendly staff, reasonably priced wine and food and good atmosphere. Best to book as it is always busy.

Their Cataplana's are to die for. Ate at this restaurant twice after finding it at end of holiday. Also worth trying is the Swordfish. A very friendly and well run restaurant, good portions and reasonably priced. Well worth a few visits.

Our sea bass and tuna steak with creamy onion sauce fulfilled our expectations and more! I would especially recommend the tuna...mouthwatering and more than you can eat at a sitting. The server kindly packaged the remainder to take home. We ate outside at a table in a narrow, cobbled street. We hope to return to try another item on the... More

The restaurant is in the old part of Lagos just up from the harbour, in the narrow streets. We ordered sardines & what a treat they were! 7 large sardines with salad & lovely potatoes - beautiful lunch! Reasonably priced.

Ate here three times and lovely delicious food, had tuna steak in sauce and the Cataplana twice. Great portions, very reasonably priced and the waitress who works the tables outside has excellent customer service, a very good asset.

We ordered fish soup, shrimp cocktail, dorada in almonds, and pork with figs plus white wine - and everything was really good! I am used to complain but this time it was difficult to find any reason to have critical comments. I think that people in this town (more than 240 restaurants) live in a very competitive environment and they... More

This restaurant is in the centre of Lagos and is near some... Ahem, not as nice establishments. However it was recommended to us and we gave it a go, the staff were very polite and friendly and mostly spoke English, and the food was delicious. Well priced too, I would go back and I would recommend.
