Very good

We went with friends for a meal at this small family owned restaurant. It seats about 35 and the tables and chairs are set fairly close together. Booking is a must as it is very popular. Very friendly atmosphere with good food from stews to steak, excellent service with one of the best sangrias we tasted in Lagos.

We loved this restaurant. To be honest - the friends we were with had been there so many times we were treated like family. But the food was great. My daughter and I shared the fish platter which I would highly recommend. And son had steak which disappeared quickly. It's not fancy - if that's what you're after - but... More

I took my man for birthday dinner here. I ate chicken which they were happy to do without mushrooms and could have licked the plate. He had steak and said it was one of the highest quality, tasty, juicy steaks he had had in a long time - apparently they buy it from France!

Really surprised by all the excellent reviews of this mediocre restaurant. It was just OK, service was lacklustre the Dao wine however was excellent. Be warned there is a restaurant called Fernandez a few yards down the road , it is apparently grim! Fernandos is the marina side of the fish market.

This little family run restaurant is fantastic. Great food at a reasonable price. Nothing fancy but definitely not to be missed. Booking usually required as it is jammed all year round. A little gem.

We noticed this small restaurant a few days ago and saw it was always full of diners. We made a reservation as recommended by others on Trip Advisor. We recommend this as well as several groups had to be turned away the evening we visited. We ordered Steak Portugese and a fish/shrimp plate. Both were perfect from seasoning to basic... More

Great restaurant reasonably priced however you will need to book in advance, we went out of season and it was full every night which tells you eveything. A real traditional feel about the place you will not be dissapointed.

O Fernando is only open for dinner. You could easily walk past this tiny restaurant situated on the Avenida close to the fish and vegetable market. Please don't, or you will miss out on some fabulous food. Jose owner/chef is renowned for his steaks,, the chateaubriand is superb. I have had the Salmon and Sole, equally delicious. It is a... We visit Lagos every year, and this is the second time we have been to Fernando's. It was just as good on the second visit - and what a good job we had booked because it was full. The Portuguese steak and the fresh fish are really lovely, and we shall be back again next year.
