If I were to rate this restaurant on food alone it would be very good but the experience of eating is much more than that. We arrived at 8pm to a small queue and anticipated the wait but what we did not expect to encounter was local Portuguese turning up and being given tables ahead of the queue, so what... More

This restaurant is a little gem, and rightly popular with tourists. The food is simple, fresh and portion size is impressive. Try the tuna steaks...

In this very friendly restaurant you are always sure to get fish that not only is fresh but which is also finely grilled (so well grilled, that you cannot but eat the fish's skin).. After 4 weeks in Lagos dining out every evening, this one of the very few restaurants to which we returned for an encore (well, 5 encores,... More

Very low key but incredibly fresh and well prepared fish. We had tuna, clams and fried cod-all amazing, especially the tuna. Place is small and crowded but staff are very charming and food is so good it doesn't need a fancy setting. Thank you for a memorable meal!

This restaurant doesn't look much from the outside and you won't stumble upon it by accident but it is well worth a visit. We had the Catalana (a traditional Portuguese seafood stew) for 2 which takes a while to cook but it was incredible. It was really delicious and we will definitely visit again when in the area.

Six of us went here for Sunday lunch. Four had duck rice - 2 very big portions between them, one had chicken and i had dourada. All very good. We also had covers, water, wine, 4 desserts and 2 coffees for the princely sum of €60. Great value and great food. Highly recommended.

The most delicious fish, cheap but quaffable red wine, great chocolate mousse, all for a great price. Winning! Try the 'corvina' it's a bit more money but you won't be dissapointed!

I retain that the first important thing to evaluate about a restaurant, it's how they welcome you. In this place I received one of the worst ever: asking just how long was needed to wait I was invited rudely to stay out saying "you have to wait, I don't know how long". This was enough to judge this place. Probably... More

Our group of 5 headed to this restaurant that is in the center of it all but still slightly removed. The first good sign was that there was a line-up...when other restaurants in Lagos have people posted outside their doors trying to beckon you in, Adega Tipica A Forja was crowded. We didn't have to wait long, and we were... More
