Tourist trap! The food is not very good, it had no flavor. The food tasted like it had been reheated and the prices are expensive for what you eat. Very small doses. Very bad decoration, not typical at all! Big mistake going there for Saturday night dinner. There are certainly better options near .

This small family-run restaurant was a real find in Faro. By all means make plans to visit there if you're in town. It's a tourist trap town generally but this one is for real.

On the center of Faro, a place to taste local typical food from Algarve, namely the so-called Xarem. If you have posssibility try the first floor.

Taska is (has been?) one of my favourite restaurants in Faro, even in the Algarve, and this for some years now. But not tonight! Tonight was BAD... Service was almost non existent, we waited for ages before the table was cleaned, and then for someone to come and get our order. We had to ask for the starters, which came... More

From the street the Taska looks a bit tacky in appearance but on entry a good welcome and simple well-cooked food. The menu is completely local cuisine, with a small choice. The owner recommended the fish rice and I tasted the fish of the day (sea bass)both delicious. We had to wait as all the food was cooked to order.Simple food served with... It's not easy to still find this kind of place nowadays, where you can still eat traditional hand-made food with a local flavor and be served by a smiling staff (probably the owning family) which happen to speak all major European languages! ;-) The inside is quite rustic and very clean. A must for all "slowfood" lovers in Faro
