I have just been to Gardy in central Faro and I left like I was ripped off, there is no other word. they charge EUR 1.05 for a small tiny decaf, the average price in the same area is eur 0.65 so its outrageous that because they are on the only main street to charge this prices. set down outside... The title says it all. Tables are crammed together and the staff don't seem that interested in general patrons. Nothing wrong with the food/drinks, just the service.

This busy coffee shop/cafe/patisserie is situated in a lovely old building in the commercial area of Faro, check out the beautiful brick vaulted ceilings. Service was fast , efficient and friendly. Coffee was excellent , cakes delicious and lunch dishes tasty and reasonably priced. Judging by the large numbers of customers , this place is popular for good reason.

Stopped here for a cold drink & coffee stop in August as it is in the main shopping pedestrianised part of Faro. Service was quick and coffee was good. Tables at the time were being laid up for lunch and it appeared fairly busy. Did not realise until we went into pay just how large the choice of cakes was.... More

Thought it was expensive and frankly not really worth it , it is on the main shopping road and has lots of tables but the food could be much better.

Amazing pastel de nata and yummy coffee..very cheap and tasty. Also table service so you can just sit and chill in the street seating and people watch.

i am a total sucker for their simple granite - watermelon and lemon flavours recommended! This place is huge - massive selection of cakes, ice-cream and drinks, but also with a pretty full dining menu too. I just wanted some lunch so I got the cheese and ham omelette, it was a bit pricey for 9.25euros, but tasted ok. I... More

A nice traditional spot in the heart of Faro for a coffee and pastry or light meal. Sit outside and watch the world go by. Buy takeaway bread and pastries from their bakery almost opposite.

It was one of those days ..... we had eaten out several days in a row and I just felt like a salad, not something well advertised in Faro restaurants. There was nothing on the advertised menu but a good selection on bigger more detailed menu. Not cheap at E9.00, I chose a Gardy salad - which was delicious!! The... More

The best croissants, cakes, and more. Great quality food and friendly staff. Great for afternoon tea in the lovely city center of Faro.
