Faro in January is very quiet and the choice of restaurants is more limited. Those that are open can be very quiet too. This particular one is in the centre of the old town square and we ended up going 2 nights on the run it was so good. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was... More

Dropped in for a late lunch. Lovely table facing the church, soaking up the warm late October sun. Waiter very attentive, also funny ... teased us about our complete lack of Portuguese and our unfamiliarity with the cuisine. Light hearted and really added to the meal. The food was excellent. Delicious prawns and other seafood. Vegetarian member of the family... More

Went for lunch, menu variety excellent & all local dishes /produce. Food served well & high quality. Atmosphere relaxed but staff helpful & made sure we had a good meal. In a good location in the Old Town, near the marina which were worth exploring. Rest of Faro pretty forgettable

What a lovely place, full of charm. Very busy with happy diners. The broad bean and chicken and pork tortilla for starters which tasted amazing. We had the house special chicken with honey which was lovely. That and two drinks each and bread etc for €48? Great value, the British could learn alot from this place as they went over... More

If you want to try a few regional recipes from the Algarve this is the place to go. You can choose from the the small portion or regular one. But go for the small one and give it a go to 4 or 5, or more suggestions on the menu. Prices for small portions go from 4/5 euros to 8/9... More

Absolutely horrible restaurant - at least as far as service goes. Can't comment on the food, since after 15 minutes with absolutely no service including a drinks order, we left. We can agree with another reviewer that the canned music is obnoxious and way too loud. It was even louder inside. Would not waste my time (and certainly my money)... More

We tried 6 dishes to understand, what is the quality of the place. Tuna carpaccio, grilled tuna, marinated macrel were among them. Everything was very tasty + served with love. My advice- close your eyes and touch any place of the menu, will not get to wrong dish) Pretty cheap copmared to Lisbon or any other large cities in Portugal

I had a wonderful evening here with great food and terrific ambience. The waiter was excellent and created a friendly atmosphere for the different groups that were dining. I had the cured tuna carpaccio which was outstanding and the caramelised prawns which suited my sweet tooth. The glass of Alentejano white wine was very good and, given the location, the... More

It is difficult to give a balanced review. First the good things: the spot is in a great location, with outside tables overlooking the cathedral square; the young waiter was very charming and attentive, and came up with suggestions, without being pushy; the menu was surprisingly original, with many different tasteful Portuguese dishes, which could be ordered as small or...
