Local food and lovely service

We enjoyed some delicious fish and our waiter was very attentive. The terrace in the back of the restaurant is quite charming and nicely decorated with a cool painting on the wall.

This is another of Faro's hidden gems. Close to the railway station. The food is cooked within your sight and is always done well. The prices are very reasonable too. We have been several times and it's always top notch. Takeaway is available. We got chicken and round chips for two people, €5. You can't beat that!

We came across this restaurant purely by accident whilst staying at a nearby hotel the night before flying back to the UK. It's somewhat deceptive when approaching through the back as it looks like a regular street cafe, however once inside that all changes as you enter a trendy, smart eatery. The staff were first rate and could not do... More

This restaurant had a lot of potential - nice ambiance, decor, staff and 3 vegetarian mains to choose from, however what really let it down was the food! It was all well presented however it lacked any taste which was a shame...even the desserts were a let down - which is hard to do in Portugal!

Found this place on one of the back streets and it looked busy, which usually indicates it's a good place. It didn't look like we were going to get a table, but the waiter quickly found us one by the table. We had starters: breaded prawns and bacon and onion stuffed mushrooms, then starters we both had seabass wrapped in... More

Tired from traveling, this place fit the bill... Open and in sight of where we were staying. Not only was this our first night in Faro, it was also our first in Portugal. Restaurante was fairly busy so this looked promising. Service was good, and having just left Spain, I was worried about not knowing a word of Portuguese... I... More

We realised early evening that most restaurants in Faro close on a Sunday and used Trip Advisor to find this restaurant. We were the first customers in for the evening and were impressed with every aspect of the meal. The sangria was the best we have tasted (despite having had it in Spain, Fuertaventura and Lanzarote) and at only €9... More

We found this restaurant from the back whilst walking down the street from at hotel Dom Bernardo. We ate here twice and sat outside the back in an area with beautifully painted walls.(as opposed to all the graffiti elsewhere) The second time it was absolutely throwing it down with rain. It looks nothing special from the front, in fact I... More

This hotel was recommended to my husband and I by the local hotel that we were staying in but that had no restaurant of its own. We were not disappointed. The decor and atmosphere were good, and the friendly staff enthusiastic about their fare and keen to see that we enjoyed our meal. A good choice of dishes available, with... More

Excellent food, and a really good wine list. House wines start at 5 euro, excellent quality, much cheaper than many other restaurants in the Faro district. Service also great on every one of our visits and the staff are fluent in French as well as English. Visit a must when staying in Faro
