This is now Hexagone.

Lovely place to eat, good service, super salads, it's downfall is it's too expensive. I hope they heed this as we know a lot of people who live in the area, and they all agree that it's very poor value for money. The old Island Cafe had the same set up and the same problems. There are too many... read more

Our second visit to this impressive restaurant, which despite its name is not surrounded by water, but somewhat out on a limb. As on our last visit, the place was all but empty, yet, the food is excellent, obviously cooked by someone on top of his game. If you like the set menu at 21euros,you are getting a bargain,if like us you elect for the... More

Eating out on holiday can be very hit and miss. But in my experience mostly average and never mindblowingly fantastic. Until I happened upon the Island Cafe, It looked great but I had no illusions of entering a high cuisine retaurant. The food and service was just that though, every morsal mouth watering. If your in this region you have... More

On first entering the restaurant we thought that we were going to get a choice of tables as it wasn't very full. However a lovely smiling girl offered to ask the kitchen for us first - full marks, very warm welcome. Then she unfortunately offered us an outside table that didn't really appeal to us as it looked like someone... More

We have been to this restaurant a lot recently and supported it throughout the year spending well in excess of £1000. I recommended my daughter to try it and she drove to the restaurant and booked the table in person for eight people outside. When they arrived they were told that no table was available unless they ate inside. They... More

I wrote a negative review of this restaurant a couple of years ago. The owners seemed to lose interest and the whole place went downhill, then changed ownership and I wasn't initially impressed after the change. However, based on the recommendation of some friends we went there last week & gave it another try, it was excellent! All four of... More

Very good service - cannot fault it. The most expensive restaurant in which we dined, but the food is good and very well presented.

Just finished a truly exceptional meal at the Island Cafe. Trio of tuna comprised of tuna tartare, marinaded tuna and grilled tuna. All were absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared and served. Tiger prawns in a peanut sauce to follow were perfectly cooked and very tasty. This is such a lovely restaurant with very attentive staff. We have eaten here on... More

We have ate here a few times -new management has taken over - a massive relief as the last couple were terrible. No toddler tearing about in it's dirty walker, or raised voices...food is a very high standard and presented well. Shame the Russian chef is no longer there - she was fantastic. Think the drinks are a little on... More
