We haven't been to carvoeiro for a few years & were keen to visit an old favourite. Lovely setting in the courtyard area. Food still really good - both the fish & meat dishes. However, I think they must have halved the waiting staff from the last visit as service was so slow. Waited over 30 mins to clear the... More

We enjoyed our early evening meal here, the food is cooked over coals on an outdoor barbecue. My wife's monkfish kebab was excellent and I enjoyed the grilled chicken peri peri. The children's menu was well received. The service was friendly but a little on the slow side .

Overall we have to say we were disappointed with our experience here mainly due to the wait for food and general service. Don't get me wrong the food is good but having to wait over an hour and a half to eat was far from ideal especially as we did not order starters. We decided against starters based on the... More

We had all been looking forward to eating once again at Julio's but on this occasion it just wasn't as good as usual. I always have the pork fillet with peppercorn sauce but sad to say the pork was a tad overcooked. But, the setting is as always really enjoyable and the staff are attentive. We will be back I'm... We always visit Julios when at Rocha Brava. Julio is a most attentive host & although the Menu doesn't change much, there is enough to please everyone. Lovely setting, but try to avoid sitting in the garden itself as the mossies like their dinner as well !

This is a regular haunt of ours when in Carvoiero , we visit at least once per trip often 3times. The food is consistently good - rack of lamb, monkfish noisettes/kebab, pepper steak are all favourites. The melon and Parma ham starter is brilliant and cannot be beaten on price anywhere on the Algarve I'm sure. The restaurant has a... More

This is our favourite restaurant in the vicinity of the Rocha Brava resort. The food and wine are always excellent, as is the friendly service. Tables outside on the terrace. Excellent Portuguese style food - the swordfish was particularly good. Many of the dishes cooked outside in the wood oven. Our 5th time holidaying in this area, and we always... More

As soon as you walk into Julio's you get the impression of a high quality restaurant. Everything is spotlessly clean and the staff are very smart and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble. The food and wine are excellent, the peppered steaks are wonderfully cooked and presented and the crepes with banana flavoured ice cream are out of this world... More

walking distance from Rocha Brava down hill towards Centianes beach. Need to make a reservation. Try and sit out in the. Garden, although the terrace is nice too. service is very laid back so don't expect fast service. the food is lovely, the steak was wonderful and the tiramisu was the best I have had. We will be back again... More

Although this restaurant is slightly further to travel it is well worth it. We've been going to this restaurant for 10 years and still think it is one of the best. The curried prawn starter followed by peppered pork is truly mouth watering delicious. You cannot manage a pudding but they do look good.
