I came to this restaurant several (5) evenings as a single person during my stay in Carvoeiro in the period of 04 - 18 May 2015 and from the very first evening I felt very comfortable. Whatever I ate there, was prepared with passion and carefully served by all the staff. I'm very much looking forward to go back there.... More

This used to be our favourite restaurant in Carvoeiro but not anymore. It has been completely refurbished to a very high standard and looks great. However sadly something along the way has been lost as is happening with many of the old style Portuguese restaurants. The traditional feel is being replaced and I fear will be lost entirely if this... More

Called in for dinner. Service was good, efficient without being obtrusive. My tuna was as good as I have ever had. Drinks and food reasonably priced. The only thing that might put people off is it very popular with families. The night we were their it was quite a lot of noise even after nine.

The service was a little slow but the food was worth waiting for. I had the goats cheese salad which was lovely and tasty. The Portuguese stew(I can't remember the name of it) that came in a copper casserole was very nice. Not something I would usually order as it had clams in, but it was very nice. We had... More

The food and the service were not excellent, but god enough to hve a nice evening. What i would specially remark about this restaurant is the attention what they give to children. The rest rooms are special: next to the normal sink is installed a sink in miniature, for kids with a paper hand towels dispenser for kids as well.... More

Please note that this restaurant is under new management after a major refit and renovation It bears little resemblance to the old Casa Algarvia and Trip Advisor should delete the old reviews as they have no relevance now. Please start reviews from February 2015-

First time at this restaurant and really impressed. It was our first holiday with a baby & they were really accommodating, attentive & friendly. Great facilities for baby changing as well as even having a child toilet next to big toilet. Food was delicious - def recommend the beef stroganoff. Will definitely be going back when we return in August.

very nice lunch consisting of black pork and soup starters followed by rack of lamb and grilled chicken. Substantial portions and all very tasty. Bill for 2 a reasonable €43,00. The owner , Cristina, made a point of talking to us and checking back and was most pleasant and professional. The people also own Oasis in the village. We know... More

Opened up in March 2015 following a refurbishment by new owners. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff without being intrusive. Great helpings though thought chicken piri-piri could have had more meat, lack of breast, mainly leg and wings. Portugese steak down perfectly. New owners, think a connection of some sort with Oasis on the 'Out Road'. A good wine list. When... More
