Dined here twice and all had very nice meals both times. Portuguese steak is very good and the fillet steak (19 Euro) was fantastic. Beef stroganoff also recommended. Staff very welcoming and helpful. A bit dated in décor but otherwise great. Booking is recommended as got very busy both nights we were there (Friday and Monday)

Really authentic Algarvian cuisine. the best dish, which I've had several times is their stone steak. basically a lump of raw steak, served on a red hot stone slab, with shoestring chips and serving dishes of chilli, garlic and mayo. You slice the steak yourself, sear it on the stone and consume. Wonderful

Small friendly restaurant halfway up the main street. We nearly passed it by so glad we decided to give it a try. They have a varied menu and great wine list. The prawn peri-peri and stone steaks were a real hit, and portion size was just perfect, and the meal was value for money. The staff were helpful and genuinely... More

On the Main Street into town you have a Constant flow of pedestrians brushing past you, but I like the food here. Simple kebabs on hanging skewers and hot stone steaks the children can cook themselves. We do go back each year

Great restaurant, great food and great staff. Be warned though, if there's football on TV it'll be shown in the restaurant, a plus for me! Note that the serving hatch is surrounded by a rendering of the European cup! Had the fish catapalana here and it was awesome! They are very friendly and took good care of us, especially the... More

Try the halibut, for a few euros, and the portion is enormous. My husband loves the chicken piri-piri there, with the tiniest drop of their famous chili sauce. Great food, nice staff, very welcoming and homely. One of our favourites in Carvoeiro.

Good food & friendly staff - it's also child friendly. We go at least once every yearly visit. Nice choice of meat dishes and options for kids on the menu too

The food was ok. However, it was quite annoying to be served by 5 different waiters who got constantly something wrong with our order. We spent a lot of time waiting to be served & get our food. Not worth it!

On Tuesday, 24th Sept, we arrived in Carvoeiro for the very first time & needed someplace to eat! We were not disappointed! A lovely warm welcome awaited us at Casa Algarvia - chosen at random! We found the staff very attentive and genuine! A great choice on the menu of meat & fish at reasonable prices. Paulo suggested the catch... More

Excellent food, reasonably priced. Enjoyed the swordfish and the steaks on the stone. Excellent waiters. Felt very Portugese. Worth a visit.
