We ate here at lunchtime , the service and food were very good. We went in the evening a few days later, . The service was poor and we were rushed, I had the same main course. It was awful my dish was sloppy! We didn't go back

We ate there twice while on holiday, and were pleased with both the servings size and the quality of the dishes we ordered. Sat outside both times, and since we were travelling with a child, we went to eat before the big rush started at around 20:00 .. But that also meant that some of the waiters apparently had nothing... The food was very good, but it took some time, they seemed more eager to get customers in than the kitchen could cope with. So, by all means, go there, but go a bit earlier than the evening rush. The bread was not fresh, but the main courses - cod, pork, beef etc were all good. The spare ribs did... More

On the night we visited the reason for going was that we could watch England disgrace themselves, again. The melon starter was the best melon I have ever had, the portion size was enormous. The fish was nicely cooked and plentiful. It is a Tourist restaurant, so if you want to feel comfortable surrounded by fellow travellers this is a... More

We ate at the Clipper one evening because it was always very busy and we didn't want to wander too far from our hotel because we were tired. We noticed that there were a lot of tourist eating at this restaurant and the menu did reflect this with slightly westernised menu option such as steak or other meats with sauces... More

The staff were very unfriendly, the food average I had a starter of a prawn cocktail and it was very poor four prawns and small ones. We thought it was all over priced and uncomfortable.

Garlic prawns to die for!!! Also the Fado red wine was fantastic, and we had tried quite a few ropey wines before we came across this one at The Clipper. Well worth a visit.
