Great view

A fairly unassuming looking bar/cafe on a fairly unassuming street slightly off the beaten track BUT wow is it worth finding! An inside room (if it ever gets cold), an enclosed glass fronted room (if it ever gets rain) and an open sun-filled veranda with the most spectacular view of the ocean and... read more

We happened upon this cafe when walking in the old section of Albufiera and we were not disappointed. The view was amazing as we had a unobstructed view of the beach below and of the Atlantic Ocean with many sail boats. The food was very good; however, the menu could have been more inventive. The sangria was the best ever... More

While my wife and I were on holiday in Albufeira in February we were told about this little café/restaurant as being very good, well, we were not disappointed it is a lovely place to have just a coffee or a tapas, which was what we had, and sat out on the fabulous balcony with one of the best views in... Spent a few hours drinking on the terrace overlooking the sea! Did not eat there but spoke to others who did and food seemed great-it is quite close to the harbour and looks like an old Portugese dwelling from the outside but do go in-you will enjoy it!!

Just back from another week in albufeira and cafe iguana continues to be our favourite place to visit. Relax and enjoy the sun on the terrace with a cold drink and snack. Rui and Lorraine always friendly and helpful. You must visit cafe iguana when in albufeira, you will love this place and keep going back for more.

As with many other Albufeira eateries the food on offer is simple but very enjoyable. 1L Sangria and a meal for two came to €18. Thoroughly good food and excellent service. Great views across the bays towards Faro. I'd imagine you'd struggle for a terrace seat in the summer. There was however the presence of the seagulls and cats (no... More

The balcony is terrific, you can eat whilst listening to the waves crashing below you. The scottish lady who served us was helpful and friendly. I would recommend the baguettes from here to anyone
