We visited O Lusitano on our first night in Albufeira after doing our research on Trip Advisor in advance of our holiday. We and another couple arrived10 minutes before they were due to open, the staff were sat having their evening meal, but we were welcomed in and given a table and menu to purus while we were waiting. From... More

The service was nice, and most of the food seemed good. However, one member of our group ordered prawn cocktail. After two bites, it was clear from the very bad taste and texture that it had gone bad. He sent it back, but experienced the consequences quite a few times in the night. How could they serve food this far... More

Back again in Albufiera on holidays and returned multiple times to O Lusitano or "Pedro's", as we call it. This place simply cant be beaten for lovely food, good service, relaxed atmosphere and value for money. We were always well looked after by Pedro, Carlos and Sarah. This year my wife and daughter got it very hard to be tempted... More

The service here was impeccable. The standard of the food was really good. My partner absolutely raved about the clams. The wine was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Started with prawn cocktail for me and clams for him. I had the Cod O Lusitano and he had a mahoosive veal chop. We both had a dessert, a coffee and a... More

What a lovely restaurant, lovely polite waiters, lovely selection of food and lovely wine. The Portuguese steak is the best I've tasted in the algarve, my boyfriend had lamb chops with a sweet mint sauce which he loved. Defiantly one of the best in albufeira. Worth the trip out of the old town for, even managed to get us a... More

This place overall when you add up value/service/quality should be number one on trip advisor. Now I've eaten in some of the best restaurants in the places I've been and some right dives, but this place never changes the quality of food-excellent, service-great and flavours-awesome, it's a no rush restaurant with perfect time between meals to allow your food to... Visited here with friends and family. Very welcoming on arrival. Shared the monkfish with my wife and it was really tasty. Lots of fish. Our friends had the sea bass for two and really enjoyed it. Great big portion. Two of the teenage girls had the prawn curry and I managed a taste which was excellent. Girls were raving about... More

Excellent restuarant although tricky to find. Fresh fish with steaks as an alternative. For a spot of lunch this cannot be beaten.

It was great to be back in Albufeira again in May. The weather was fantastic, hotter than usual for May, right up there in the 30s. so the ideal was to have lunch in OLusitano. Pedro has a lovely new area with a canopy so one can eat in full sun or shade and with Prato do Dia (plate of... More
