I am somewhat reluctant to write a review, because all I can say is excellent on all fronts, and it means that more people will go there and it will be difficult to get a table. In the busier time of the year it is necessary to make a reservation. A very good well balanced menu of home cooking is... More

Excellent meal. Seating is a little cramped but the decor is great. Portions are extra generous. We were a part of five and all agreed that this was definitely the best meal of the holiday. Always very busy so reservation is needed

This was our third time to dine here & I can honestly say each time the food & service deteriorated! I really think they are victims of their own success. We first found this restaurant a few years ago and booked our holiday because it was my friends birthday and she wanted to spend it dining at the Cockerel! We visited 3 times in a week it is so good. Food quality is excellent and portions enormous and the staff are friendly and obliging.

Absolutely lovely restaurant. We were not forced in like so many places try to do in this area. They let us wait and outside and waited for us to come in. When we were seated there was no rushed service and the staff were so friendly. My boyfriend had lamb shank which fell off the bone the was so soft... More
