Good quality food

We arrived quite late on our first night and were in a bit of a rush to eat somewhere so went into O Poeta as it was one of the few restaurants open on the strip at the time of year. It has a cottage sort of feel inside and is warm and friendly. Staff were attentive and cooked meals... read more

Went here on our first night as we didn't have time to venture too far. Man outside is like Louis Spence and sells the place well to get customers in. Food was okay but nothing special and had better meals later in the week at other places. The service is quite rushed and very impersonal. Staff do not take the... More

Again during our 5week stay over Christmas and New Year we visited here a few times, the food was very good, and reasonable, the portion size was good, the staff very professional and pleasant, they also made a fuss of our grand daughter who came with us. The interior was tastefully decorated everything colourwise was matching. We go back in... More

This was our first night in Albufeira (14th Feb) and most places on the strip were closed. Like another reviewer, we were 'hustled' by the same gent...but I have to admit it was one of the most polite hustles we have had. He certainly knows the menu well and he showed us to our table where we were then looked... More

We went here on our first night and only stopped as the pr told us nothing else in the strip would be open. We found this quite over priced for the same quality as else where but the food was nice & the service good.

We were looking for dinner at the bottom end of "The Strip" in Albufeira's New Town area of loud bars and Neon Lights. I wouldn't have expected to eat very well here. We were 'hustled' as happens here outside most restaurants, but the hustler was a well-spoken English man and he made a very convincing sell for Restaurant O Poeta,... More

From the moment you meet George outside on the street until you hear tony's jokes this is an experience not to be missed. In between , the food from the sublime beef stroganoff to the amazing sardines.... and never forgetting the beefburger with fried egg for the night you fancy a taste of home ! Please don't leave the strip... More
