Like another reviewer commented, this was our favorite restaurant in Portugal. Up until we went to this restaurant, the food had been good but not great. While the fish had been quite fresh, there was little variety in the preparations and everything was too salty. Not so at the BL Lounge. The owner was very helpful in describing the menu... More

It was a pleasure to eat at BL Lounge. The food was delicious and the only problem was to pick up something from the list. Fortunately the owner gave us a great hint for that day. There is only Portuguese typical food, but as you'll find out, Portuguese food is one of the best in the world.

Stayed in Evora and decided (as always) to let Michelin be our guide. This, backed up with the tripadvisor reviews made me book BL lounge. This is the first time I would disagree with the Michelin rating of a Bib Gourmand. I found the dishes nothing more than average, melted cheese with onions and red currant jelly, shrimp risotto (with... More

We were served by a very nice guy who explained the menu to us. We had the roast octopus and shrimp and asparagus risotto, followed by chocolate cake. A reasonably priced local wine was recommended and all in all, we had a great meal.

Barbecued octopus with a heavenly sauce? Check! Perfect shrimp with asparagus risotto? Check! Perfect wine pairing? Check! Curried shrimp and rice without the shrimp for the picky 15 year old eater? Check! Attentive wait staff that spoke English? Check! Return visit? Check! Thank you BL!!!

A really good restaurant, friendly welcoming, and good advice on the menu ! The Bife Atum, the Gambas Curry the Tuna Steak and the most local meal, the Planalto were tasteful and well cooked ! In addition, the price / ratio quality is really honest. A restaurant you should absolutely try in Evora !

Great spot. Hip atmosphere with a contemporary twist to Portuguese food. Super helpful staff. Generous wine pour. Had the potato salad tapas, baked cheese appetizer and curry shrimp for lunch. Followed it with delicious chocolate cake!

Chose this restaurant based on local recommendations & Tripadvisor reviews. When travelling we make every attempt to eat the country's regional cuisine, however after a week of bland & tasteless food we reluctantly prepared to give it one more shot. We were not disappointed!!!! On arrival, the owner greets and seats everyone. He is welcoming, engaging & a passionate about... More

BL Lounge is located across the main street and down a little bit from the pousada de Lóios in Évora. The building façade is distinctive, with its alphabet tiles across the top. The interior is very modern. We got grilled octopus (polvo lagareiro) and a tomato-broth and pasta soup with a big chunk of corvina (masshina peixe) seasoned with “mint... More

Chose this restaurant as it was one of the few we'd seen when exploring Evora and had trouble locating some of our other choices. After a lovely aperitif in the vine covered courtyard at the Pousada, we headed down the hill to BL Lounge. The owner greeted us and continued to be helpful and interesting throughout the evening, discussing the... More
